CorsairCP-9020186-UK SF750 80 Plus Platinum Certified Power Supply Unit, SF Series, 750 W, Fully Modular - Black (UK)

Having bought an SF450 direct from Corsair in 2016 for a budget micro-ATX build which has proved reliable, energy efficient and quiet. When another PSU of 550 watts failed in a very cluttered HTPC case Corsair's SF range seemed the natural choice. They are fully modular, come with an SF to ATX form factor adapter plate included, which makes installing them as upgrade unit easy.The advantage of the modularity and the compact size is that you only install the cables you need, rather than trying to tie up and hide unused cables or buy extension cables (or as some do cut off spare cables and invalidate their warranties) and that because the PSU is smaller, the volume of the case is less restricted allowing for better airflow and cooling. The fact that the fan in these SF PSUs only spins up when absolutely needed reduces the overall power consumption of the PC. The Corsair CP-9020186-UK SF750 80 Plus Platinum efficiency rated which makes it pricey but eco-friendly.In a more spacious full tower build I have a Corsair CP-9020072-UK Professional Platinum Series HX750i ATX which has a motherboard link cable which allow you to monitor the PSU via Corsair Link/iCue software which would be a nice to have on this unit. But the additional circuitry would likely come with reliability downsides in such a small unit and possibly make it even more expensive, so you have to work out which compromises you are prepared to make...

This is my second SF series PSU. The first one (an older model with no gold/platinum cert) is happily tucked away on a mini-itx build and has served us well for 3 years now. This one (SF600 platinum) is now replacing a blown BeQuiet PSU on a full sized PC build. Comments on the latter: * The cables are absolutely too short for a full sized build * The provided ATX bracket (platinum only) works perfectly * Absolutely silent, provided you're not drawing a ton of power. When it spins is very quietOn the subject of cabling, they're fine on a mini-itx build as long as your sata drives are close to the psu. You will need to extend each and every cable if you're doing a full sized build, and the cost of some of the cables can be in the £25 region, so factor this into your buying decision. Also, if you decide to go for the gold version you'll need to buy the adaptor bracket separately. In addition to atx and cpu cable extensors you'll probably need gpu and sata extensions. Was waiting for this to come back in stock for a while, and Amazon even got it before Corsair's own website. Imo this is the best SFX power supply you can get, and despite it having a smaller fan than SFX-L PSUs it is far quieter. Waited for this one specifically due to the short braided cables that look great and allow tidier cable management. I came from a 750w ATX psu and this one for the same price is quieter, more efficient (platinum) and fully modular, with 600w being more than enough for most builds.

Cannot recommend this too highly. The second I have used. They are silent, the fan often not moving for long periods, the vent over it barely warm. Power supplies are the most important thing when building a PC, economising on them is silly. They come with an adaptor plate if your case requires ATX. They are fully modular, so you don't clutter up a small case with lots of unused cables. I have had several psu issues in the past but confidently expect these ones to outlast the machines they are installed in. Perfect for a mini itx system.

Owned many gold and platinum Corsair PSUs, never had any issues at all. This is no different. Small and compact, adequate cable options for main power and peripherals. Cables are nicely wrapped. Good construction and power where you need it. Also pretty much silent operation - I have never noticed the PSU over case, CPU or GPU fans. Well worth the money.

Seems like a good unit. Cables provided are wrapped in what feels like a good sturdy sheath but the cables themselves aren't very long at all, I needed to buy an extension kit to be able to use the psu and unfortunately it doesn't come with spare screws for using the mounting bracket should you need to. I had to scavenge some spare ones from an old pc to be able to mount the psu and bracket to the chassis. Other than that it's great

Can't really vouch for the noise/wattage usage, I'm using this to run a R5 3600 and GTX 1650. Got the 750W to have that upgrade headroom in the future.Sometimes I check if the fan is even running, because I don't think I've ever heard it before. Incredible how quiet it is compared to my old PSU.The 8-pin CPU connecter was a bit short for me, but just barely makes it in. The cable management is much easier with the full modularity.

Es semi pasiva y sólo la he visto arrancar el ventilador unos segundos cuando se enciende el equipo, de tan eficiente que es. Luego se mantiene apagado aún jugando, por lo que es totalmente silenciosa (Core i5-10400 + GTX 1650 SUPER). La calidad de los cables es buenísima.

Parfaite dans mon boitier NCase M1 avec un Ryzen 3600XT et une Nividia RTX 2060. Son ventilateur est à l'arrêt si elle n'est pas trop solicitée

Excelente eficiencia, la construccion es sólida y su operacion muy silenciosa incluso con carga.
