From the HELIX collection comes the COAL men's pant by Karbon Technical Apparel of Canada. This is a great jacket regardless of how you like to attack the mountain, whether by ski or snowboard, novice or expert, you'll love this jacket. The COAL uses Karbon' s proprietary TST fabric, a woven fabric with great texture, and weight and is machine washable. The TST fabric gets (DWR) Durable Water and Stain Repellency coating, combine that with the Karbonite 15,000 waterproof/breathable laminate with 100% seam sealing and you'll be well protected from the elements. The 100 weight Thermik 1 insulation is just right for most all winter weather conditions, it's light weight, not bulky but gives you that added buffer to the cold that you'll be glad to have. In terms of styling the jacket has a very kool looking horizontal quilted lines to it that flow through to the back giving it the look of a goose down jacket, yet it's a very tailored athletic functional fit. The "COAL" is feature rich, with some other great not so techy features like multiple interior pockets, waterproof YKK zippers, lycra internal wrist cuffs, and detachable adjustable hoods.
