Appreciate the functional/minimal design and seems to be good at maintaining a level of breathable air.
I'm not sure how much these absorb, and when they're "dirty" so that they're actually making the area worse if at all. Something must be working because im about to order my third box and for a first one for a friend who smokes and noticed the air seemed "fresher". I put them in dank places and hope for the best. The design of these and the fridge one seems the most well-thought out in terms of no-frills efficiency. Their fridge one is good for places where you don't want the fabric to touch the other things; e.g. laundry delicates, sentimental items. It is a little large for my fridge which might have more to do with the absurd amount of food in it. I will say the fridge one would be awesome if not-plastic and refillable; maybe down the line if people are willing to change them out. Most people are still in the realm of Glade and using Yankee paraffin wax candles, and look upon my coconut absorbers with suspicion. Not sure why Glade and Yankee still populate the drugstores. Even health food stores only have cedar and it's synthetic fragrance--so it masks things/makes them smell like car freshener rather than actually cleansing the air. There are two layers covering the coconut, which protects (I think) the outside fabric from the coconut which will absorb --so claimed--massive amounts of odor. So that's nice. It is necessary, as fine ground coconut charcoal as you may have experienced, doesn't fully disappear if spilled unless you have nothing to do for a straight 12 hours but multiple types of cleansers and methods. I have made my own ( coffee filters, tiny containers) and each time have ended up with coconut everywhere, defeating the purpose of it. It gets into lungs, and gets stuck into skin, which is unfortunate if you have don't have poreless skin.So to avoid that situation the freegrace ones appear to be efficient and affordable. If you want one of the canvas pretty ones and have a sunny area to bake them, you might want to get those if you want to hide the fact you're using odor absorbers. they are super cute --whether they absorbed more or less was impossible to tell. - These smell like nothing even after a few months so I can't tell with those either. I do know my apt should smell noxious after moving in everything from a storage space shared for a year with a musician and the contents of both our rooms. Mildew and dust abounded; now the smells are only pungent up close. I went through a box of these as I transitioned from storage --I and am afraid to bake/ reuse them as this is a typical city building without much sun and a rusty fire escape. I tried leaving them on a plate but I forgot I had to flip them over and by that time the sun was down. Then it rained. So I recommend setting a timer.at that prit's, its not horrible to simply buy more, although it can add up if you have reason to be concerned about clean air and protect old/delicate items. I believe they're made in China so that can be a concern.i am bothering to write this though as their request for feedback was super polite and familial and they wrote again after I didn't respond. I think they might actually care about stuff. Which is always nice esp.in business. tbh why do the other companies persist in hardwood and bamboo? Either they really believe in it or its not worth it to them. They have nice designs but what they're made of is usually in small lettering, which became frustrating as I looked for a coconut one. So I pretty much stick with these.PS no discount or whatever companies apparently offer, was given for this review. The possible years I've spent reading fake, influenced, or uninformed and blurted due to boredom - means I take extra care to be super informative and truthful even if it's annoying. ;-)

UNSCENTED odor reduction! Allergy sufferers rejoice!
I have this hanging near where the cat boxes are and it works so well! I mostly wanted something that might decrease the level of humidity that seems to be ever-present in our Virginia home, but read about the "odor-reducing" abilities. I was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try.It works great! No nasty scented items to just blend with the odor of cat box. Granted, this will not get rid of all odor - we still have to actually CLEAN the cat box. So, if you're planning to let the poop pile up, you may want to just move. After trying it for a while, I also bought a few smaller ones to put around the areas of the house that get "scented" at different times: the garbage area, the half-bathroom, my teenager's room (I'm never going to tell her where it's at), and a few for my classroom. Teenagers have an interesting funk about them sometimes...especially at the end of the day.If you want something that will help filter out some scents so that it isn't all-powerful like a bag of manure over your nose (I wouldn't recommend trying this for comparison, btw), this is a great option.

Works better than anything else I've tried!
I was apprehensive, but they truly work! I have a mice colony that feeds a very large snake. It stinks, no matter what I do. Now, I only smell mice when I'm standing over their habitat. I wish I'd found these years ago! My only complaint... while they're nicely colored, they're still not all that nice to look at.

It actually works! And it works REALLY WELL!
No amount of baking soda was taking that "freezer" burn smell. No matter the product rating, I always take reviews with a grain of salt. BUT THESE DO WORK.Each packet came individually sealed so the packets (I assume) are "fresh" until it is needed. I threw 2 into the freezer, 1 in the refrigerator and even attached 1 to the underside of the trash can lid. I forgot about the packets until a few days later, I went to grab something out of the freezer and noticed the freezer burn smell was gone! Color me impressed.Time will tell of the longevity of this product, until then... IT WORKS!

The bags are selectively effective
They work well in the enclosed space of my closetwhere removed the slightly musty smell overnight and have continued to keep it smelling fresh ever since. However, in the larger, more open space of my laundry room, where I keep the cat pan, they have proved less effective, even in multiples. The World's Best Cat Litter takes care of 99% of any odors, but the bags haven't had much effect on what there is. They are cute, though.

It does a great job!
I have used other products with activated charcoal, this is based on coconut shells and just seems to do a better job of clearing out the mustiness and other scents. I am severely sensitive to chemicals, I have to work from home (even without COVID) as perfumes, foods, and even outgassing causes severe reactions. To the point that because my manager and HR at Verizon required me to work in the office as much as possible, I now have heart damage in that my left ventricle does not work properly under exertion. I am still trying to heal from those exposures... SO believe me when I say that this product is truly working wonderfully for me! No I am not being reimbursed for this review.

Don't work on formaldehyde smell in wood.
UPDATED/REVISED: I used 7 bags in my new wardrobe to get rid of the formaldehyde smell. It's been two weeks without any reduction in smell so I recharged them. A week later, no difference. Totally disappointed. HOWEVER, the seller is super cooperative and replied to the first version of my review. So I added a star for that. We are going to try recharging the bags more often and give it more time. I am not left with any other options to get rid of that horrible dead worms smell!
