The Zieler Easywriter Grip Mat is designed to work with the Zieler Easywriter Ergonomic A3 Writing Slope. If for any reason you find the surface of the slope causes your book / pad to slip then simply fix the Grip Mat to it to prevent any slipping. The Grip Mat provides support between a pen/pencil and the surface of the board - thereby providing more writing comfort. In terms of good handwriting practice (and as per the National Handwriting Association website http://www.nha-handwriting.org.uk/), it is recommended that handwriting is a 2 handed task. The dominant hand writes/draws and the supportive/non-dominant hand should be supporting the paper. This is built with developmental foundations of bilateral integration and crossing the midline. The Grip mat helps to aid this practice by holding writing books/pads. Where a single page (a loose paper sheet) is used to write on the Grip mat, it is recommended to use a piece of large smooth backing card in between the paper and the mat to help ensure that the writing instrument does not piece through the paper thereby ruining the paper and possibly the mat.

Adequate for the job
So far it's doing the job. Experienced the slightly artificial smell when first opened but this fades quickly.I'm using this on a broad to practice calligraphy. This isn't quite the intended purpose but it's working out quite well.

It works
The mat really works very simple idea but it works and work well with my Zieler wooden work top. My work don't slide off my work to.

Not what I thought it was!
I misread the description and thought I was ordering a writing slope. Adding a photo of just the mat would avoid confusion.

Slips off!
The mat itself completely slips off the reading stand so totally defeats the purpose of it. Waste of a purchase. Haven’t been able to use it once.Good quality and came on time so 2 stars but doesn’t do what it’s advertised to do!
