I Wonder Why the Sea Is Salty: and Other Questions About the Oceans

Honestly, I love these books. I bought them on a 4 for 3 special, and couldn't be happier. I am not one to buy books full price either, but these are so perfect for my 5 and 7 year olds I was happy to do it. Our kids are always asking questions, 'why this' and 'why that' and this book series seems to feed their need for answers. The pictures are really sketches, but nicely done and not cartoonish. I actually enjoy reading these to them because I am learning things myself! I could not recommend these books more, a perfect gift for a curious child.

we take our grandchildren to the beach each summer. On one of our visits the question came up "why is the water salty"? So this book was a gift to them to read about the salty water.

Some of the questions/answers are pointless, like why is the sea salty? because it has salt in it. But others are good. Overall, my kids enjoyed this book.

Bought as a gift for 6 year old grandson who is a voracious reader. He loves learning interesting facts so this will be perfect for him. Very well done.

My 9 year old nephew, who loves the Ocean recieved this purchase as a gift. I previwed the book before gifting. Good gift for kids who like reading about subjects they find interesting.

Fantastic introduction to science facts in small, easy to read segments. Beautiful pictures as well. Note: If you buy more than one title, note that they are now produced in two different sizes.
