GMAT Prep Plus 2020: 6 Practice Tests + Proven Strategies + Online + Mobile (Kaplan Test Prep)

I really like how this book does not try to bore you to death. I am a fairly slow reader and have been flying through it because it is written in a very realistic manner. It does not try to pound grammar rules into your head, but instead tells you what to expect of the GMAT and how to attack certain problems. It also gives you a very good idea of how many problems you will see, small tips/tricks to eliminate certain answer choices, how much time to allocate for each type of problem, and how the GMAT is scored.I also enjoyed the online resources. Using the practice tests helped me with time management and just general test-taking practice since I am somewhat rusty on that front. The book does a great job breaking down the different topics covered by the test as well as strategies pretty much anyone can learn to help improve. There's also a lot of great information about how the test is structured and scored.However, the more time I spent using this book, the more I noticed its numerous errors. To be clear, a VERY small number were in questions themselves. Overall, the errors I found were grammatical, formatting (question stem labeled as if it were an answer choice), or missing a letter in the middle of a paragraph.My other main criticism is that I felt like there wasn't enough practice. 6 practice tests are great for simulating the test and estimating my score. But I have very limited ability to drill myself on critical reasoning questions (for example) without buying other Kaplan products. It's a bit pricier, but you're further ahead to just buy the materials straight from the GMAC, who actually writes the test and QC's their material (which you can also find on Amazon).

This is a great book for learning GMAT strategies and getting an understanding of the exam. I came in not knowing anything about the exam, but now feel much more confident / prepared because of using this prep book. Super great quarantine activity!

My score went down after using the Kaplan program to an all time low.

This book is easy to go through and lays out some great tools/formatting but unfortunately, I am missing an entire chapter within quantitative.

Some of the practice questions don't even have multiple choices for you to choose from and sometimes when they do the letter answer they say doesn't match up with the explanation for getting the right answer. This book feels like it was very lazily put together.

While I haven’t taken the GMAT yet, this book is a great tool to start studying with! The explanations are very detailed.

This book is great for providing an overview of each of the types of problems you will encounter and providing some examples. The Verbal section is better organized than the Quant section. I would recommend this book but not as your sole resource for study.

The book is constantly half explaining solutions and is not helping at all. Spent 6 hours a day for the last month and I am getting a worse score than I did before. I find the content online quite helpful, but the book is really bad. Really poor explanations. Strategies are so and so but I really don't recommend this book, GMAT club has helped me a lot more to actually learn formulas and workflows. Also, I recommend going for the official GMAT books not this one.

This new edition of book is very much improved rather than the older versions and is providing 6 full length practice tests which is a great benefit and worth buying.
