Not bad at all for the price
Not bad at all for the price. Less than $5 a pair for merino wool socks is a steal. I'd give these 5 stars, EXCEPT the toe area of the sock is quite loose and sometimes folds over, and doesn't seem to have the elasticity that I'd like to have, so that it would form-fit around the forefoot. At the same time, the tops of the socks -- and they are quite high on the calf, more of a boot sock than I expected -- have too much elastic, so that they're very tight; it almost feels as if they'd cut off the circulation to the foot, and they're very hard to get on. BUT, once on, and barring discomfort from the folding or bunching of the forefoot, they're quite comfortable, and warm. I've only had these for two weeks, and for one washing/drying, during which they didn't shrink to fit in the forefront at all, but also didn't loosen up in the calf area either.

Great wicking, prevents Swamp Foot!
With winter coming on and my other half as a welder who is either outside sweating all day or outside freezing all day, I was thrilled to receive these socks at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review. These are being worn by a size 10 medium width bloke.I wanted to give wool a go because in the summer he sweats his feet off inside his boots (and wool helps prevent stinky feet)...I call him SwampFoot in the summertime. In the winter, he welds outdoors and gets cold hands and feet while. I was not aware that these were for extreme temps (-5 to 25 degrees) and we'll likely never test that but I wanted wool for its wicking and anti-microbial properties others swear by.These are thicker than his standard cotton socks so he mentioned that but didn't complain. No complaints about scratchiness or ill fit. No sweaty feet when he goes into the heated break room. If he can tolerate them in the summer, no more SwampFoot! If anything goes awry in the wash, I'll update my review but so far he's a happy camper.

Keep your feet very warm, dry, and odor-free as described!
These are my first Merino wool socks and they are excellent. The description of this product is perfect because the socks deliver everything as described. I needed help with warmth as my feet are cold on a regular basis. I used to wear 2 pairs of socks sometimes. These socks provide me with enough warmth for working in outdoor winter weather. You would think a sock so warm would leave your feet sweaty and full of odor, but surprisingly they do not. The anti-odor feature is a major plus. Finally, the socks provide a ton of comfort. They have greatly reduced foot discomfort after climbing ladders, walking long distances, and even playing sports. I have worn them with work boots, Sketcher dress shoes, and tennis shoes. One thing I want to mention is that your shoes may fit a little tighter due to the thickness of the socks. Overall great socks and I hope to replace all of my socks with these eventually.

These are not premium merino wool. The wool is inferior to the big name brands. There's a reason why you get 6 pairs for $26. The price seemed very unusual for merino wool, considering you pay more than that for 2-3 pairs from other manufacturers. But if you're in the market for merino wool socks that won't break the bank, and you don't mind cheap quality wool, then these are for you. But if you're used to wearing merino from the big names...I'd stay away from these.

Great socks
I wear a 13 shoe and find these socks are slightly small, but only with respect to in calf height. The foot fits well. They are very well made and a great value. I would buy them again. Note --- I would not say these are for extremely cold weather (under 25 degrees) use unless paired with insulated boots.

Very nice sock. Shorter than expected.
Seem like a very nice sock for the price. My only concern is they are short for my 10-1/2 shoe size foot. If they shrink, I might need to return them. I will look for this brand in a larger size next time.

A little tight, my feet are 10 1/2 , these fit very tight nice quality, only issue for me is the sewing at the top where you would pull them up is unstitching on all but 3 pairs already and its only been 2 weeks!

Very nice socks
Extremely comfortable, fits my size 11 feet just right and appear well made. Have not yet hiked in them, so do not know if they are better suited for cold weather or warm weather hiking, both or neither. Seems like an excellent value at $4 per pair.
