They have a funky freeze-dried taste
I'll be sticking to fresh chives from now on. A strange equivalent on flavor (for comparison only not actual taste) would be the taste of frozen seafood, and frozen peppers and onions, when compared to fresh. Disappointed.

These chives are nice, good flavor and value, but not the best I ever had, so I'd say above average.
