You're never to old to take a hike!
This was given to someone who always talked about walking the Appalachian Trail for his 71st birthday. Walking the trail has never interested me BUT I must admit after watching this DVD I truly understand why people have the desire to walk part or all of it. I truly enjoyed watching this DVD!We both learned a lot!

AT personal experience
Informative. One of the better AT films reflecting actual personal experience. A bit pricey but seems a lot of effort was put into making it.

Best of the popular AT DVDs
I ordered most of the popular AT Trail DVD documentaries, and this is my favorite. It is well filmed and provides an excellent overview of the trail from beginning to end. It is clear that a lot of effort went into making this DVD, and that the film-makers wanted to provide an informational DVD rather than a "personality driven" DVD. This is hands-down the best choice for anyone who wants a well-done overview about hiking the AT. Also, easily the best choice for teachers who want to show their students a film about the AT.

Blind Courage to the Barefoot Sisters and I LOVED seeing what they were all talking about - shelters
I've read 12 of my collection of 26 AT adventures - everyone from Grandma Gatewood, Blind Courage to the Barefoot Sisters and I LOVED seeing what they were all talking about - shelters, vista's, trail magic, the fog, rain, cold, beauty, flowers, bears & sore feet. Great production - he seemed to cover everything.

The best account of a thru hile I've seen.
Read many, many books on thru hiking, and this film was a great documentary.Bits from all states included, and there is no nudity or vulgarity.Definitely a film for the whole family that gives a true to life account of the adventure known as the thru-hike.Gary F.

Appalachian Trail hiking overview
Our son told us he was planning to hike the Appalachian trail. This video explained to us very clearly why people choose to hike the AT, and what to expect. Very well done!

Good overview of the whole AT and the people who hike it and the experience itself, blisters and all. Professionally done, too, but authentic.

Great to see the trail "live"
I really enjoyed actually seeing people walking the trail and what all the different places on the trail actually look like. Well done and worth it if you can find the video for a decent price. There must not be too many out there and for a while the price was extremely high.
