GRE Prep 2020: Practice Tests + Proven Strategies + Online (Kaplan Test Prep)

For the quant, this book really missed the mark on difficulty of the GRE. The practice questions in the book were significantly easier than those on the actual test, didn't really match the style of question asked, and the explanations were often technically correct but ambiguous (for example, using the term "smaller" interchangeably with "lesser," when "smaller" would imply magnitude in any math course). Also, there were graphical comparison questions that were just impossible to answer accurately due to the lack of fidelity in the graph.Despite bad examples, the instruction sections did do a decent job summarizing what needs to be learned. However, there are much better books out there, particularly since this book lacked any revolutionary test taking strategies.

Excellent GRE prep! I rushed through the book and still came out in the 80th percentile on verbal and 60th percentile on math!

Helpful preparing for test

The price is fairly reasonable for a student's budget. Lots of good and thorough instructions and tips. Plenty of practice questions and practice tests.

A good general resource for your GRE needs! I worked on it when I could and this book helped me get through and accomplish what I wanted!

Corrections were made from the 2019 version as outlined in some of the older reviews below. They are now showing in the 2020 versions. Kaplan also posts all of their published books corrections in PDFs on their website for anyone to download for free.
