Nice quality climbing rope for the price. Would have given it 5 stars except for the following:1. The carabiners are NOT stainless steel as described in the graphic documentation. I tested them with a magnet and they ARE magnetic. Very disappointing since I will have it out in light rains now and then.2. The bag that rope came in is horrible. The stitching in the bottom and around the top draw string is so flimsy that the stitching was already pulling apart. I threw it out as it was worthless.

So, I bought this to get into tree climbing, and it is a solid product in terms of functionality. HOWEVER, it IS NOT truly a double braid rope. I recently cut the rope with the intention of splicing a propper eye using double braid technique only to find that it isn’t possible given the core isn’t braided but twisted. That being said, the rope sufficed as a static climbing line, but it is not double braided as advertised...

I wouldn't trust this rope with your life. After about a week's worth of use it snapped.

I have very particular likes in dog leashes and decided to make my own. This climbing rope is lightweight but sturdy and works perfectly. Plus there is enough to make multiple leashes.

Don't be fooled by cheaper knock offs.. top notch quailty all the way around .. if you need climbing ropes at a good price I recommend. Will buy more when needed..

I use the climbing rope, along with a waist harness, to secure me in the Klamath River... The current is strong, so the rope tied to a boulder or tree allows me to enter the raging river in my waders and not get swept downstream.
