This light appeared to be perfect for what I required, the light in my model railway room was a 3 pin warm white (yellow) energy saver type and it was increasingly difficult to work with such a poor light and the fact that the walls are painted in a cream colour did not help.The problem I had was assessing how bright this would be, there were lots of reviews (mainly bathrooms) and few room sizes, would it be too bright and cause eye strain?My room was 13ft (4m) x 8ft 6in (2.6m) x 8ft 4in high (2.5m).The light is perfect for my needs, as mentioned by others there is enough space to leave the base of the ceiling rose in place which makes installation very simple.

This was pretty easy to install, with one minor exception, the screws that hold the light onto the bracket; don't get me wrong they're decent quality stainless steel screws, my only criticism is that it can be tricky to find the hole they supposed to screw into if you can't look directly at the side of the unit. This could probably be easily sorted by using a screw that had a thinner section at the tip (without a thread), then you could easily locate the hole. Other than that I'm very happy with it. I'll probably buy at least one more.

I bought this to light the garage, in fact I've bought several. They replace several smaller, cheaper 24W units bought in the last couple of years that proved to be unrelaible. I sincerely hope these ones, at nearly double the price, are more reliable. What's the point of LED lamps that last 5-10 years if the driver packs-up after 18 months?Anyway, these seem a better quality unit. One great improvement is the plug arrangement between the driver and the light fitting, which means you can connect the driver to your wiring without having the light fitting getting in the way as you do it. This makes it much easier to fit.

This light fitting was brought for our kitchen which is quite dark. Our electrician fitted it in a very short time.The light from it is just what we wanted, clear and bright. It looks good even switched off.An added bonus was that we did not have to purchase expensive light bulbs as the lights are all ready fitted.We have only had it a week, can say very happy with it and be happy to recommend🙂

Put this in kitchen, very easy to install, I am amazed how bright this light is and only 24 watts so really low running cost, very impressed and so cheap

Bought this for my study to provide better lighting for working from home during lockdown. Nice bright, even, light - much better than the old single bulb overhead lamp it replaced, or the desk lamp I was using. East enough to install as long as you're comfortable working with mains wiring - enough room behind their panel that I could just got it over the existing ceiling rose.

I should probably not put the unit being dented as part of a review when most people would probably want to know more about the lighting quality and ease of installation; however, as the box it was shipped in and the box it came in were both perfect, I can only assume this was a quality control issue in the factory - hence the mention. I hope you get a prefect one.As for the light, it's OK. Not as bright as I was hoping but brighter than the pendant light it replaced. Installation is pretty easy. The push-fit on the LED driver means you can do the wiring work up the ladder without holding the light under your chin etc and offer up the light with little hassle.
