I really didn't think I could do this myself. I am living in Germany (US military) and the charge for Keretin on my VERY short hair was 240 Euro! Ummm...no! I even struggled to pay $150 back in the states. So, the frizz finally got to me and I trusted this stuff. Glad I did. My hair is smooth and blowdries fast. Didn't even need the flat iron after washing the first time just dry and go. I have a lot of grays mixed in with white blonde (colored) so my hair was dry and straggly. I love this stuff.Save time, save money and love my hair more...I'm all in! Would never pay salon prices again. Not to hard to do. Did it on my own with my daughter smoothing out the hairs in the back. I have cowlicks - front and back and they are both tamed and staying in place. Will buy again. As for smell, yes it was a bit harsh and eyes watered a bit in the blow-dry phase and the ironing part - but it was exactly the same as when I had it done at the salon so no different doing it on your own. I had good luck! Go for it!

I live in the South, where humidity is over 95% every day (seriously, I check weather.com year-round before I leave the house). In the 15 minutes it takes to walk my children to school, my flat-ironed naturally curly hair would balloon to a giant puffball unless I wore a granny-style plastic bonnet every day. Even doing that, it always takes 35-40 minutes to flat-iron my air-dried hair.After I received a salon keratin treatment as a gift, I was hooked. I had them for several summers, but cannot justify the $300-$400 price tag in my area, even though I wash weekly so that it last 4-5 months. I tried one other at-home treatment (One n Only Curl Remover, twice) and it did absolutely nothing. So, I sprung for this Forte treatment, figuring my hair is resistant, and wow, it's almost too straight.The formaldehyde released during application and flat-ironing at times made me cough and my eyes burn, but I mostly avoided that doing the treatment in a room with a fan blowing away from me, a floor length mirror propped up against a wall and an outside door a few feet away from me wide open. I tried doing it outside but it was over 90 degrees so I gave up on that.The first photo is flat-ironed, after treatment, which now takes 15 minutes. The second is what my natural hair looks like when I blow-dry it (my mother-in-law always tells me that will fix everything, yeah, no). The third photo is what Keratin Forte did for my hair- this is how it looks now AIR-DRIED. It went from a 3a to a 2a, maybe. The last photo is my natural hair before Keratin Forte, air-dried. I don't know how long this will last, but I did a ton of research and bought LuxeOrganix shampoo and conditioner and Pureology Color Fanatic Spray for heat protection to try to keep my hair smooth and shiny as long as possible. I really don't take time to post reviews, but Keratin Forte was a game changer. I have some time and dignity back.

Best keratin I’ve ever used. Straightens fast and lasts a long time. I would say it lasts for me about 3-4 months before I have to do a retouch. My hair is curly/coarse/thick but grows fast. This is the only product that has been able to keep up with my hair growth/type. I would recommend to use a non-paraban, non-sulfate, etc. shampoo and conditioner to protect the keratin treatment on your hair and last longer. Better than the Brazilian Blowout! I used to pay over $100 at the salon every time I did it and it didn’t last as long as this one, it wouldn’t get that straight either. I stopped doing the BBO and started doing this keratin treatment instead for about 2 years now and I’ve never been happier with my hair! It’s been a long time coming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :D

Its official, you can buy anything on AMAZON! Okay.. so this product line has been my best purchase in a decade!!! Anyone who has frizzy hair needs to purchase this. I previously spent lots of money on a keratin treatment but money in the pocket after now that I found this keratin treatment and shampoo and conditioner. Its been 3 months and my hair is still straight. This entire package is 100% worth it... I would post before and after but its truly too embarrassing to post the before... total frizz, big and ugly. I went from an hour of drying and straightening and now all I have to do is blow dry with this keratin treatment.

This is the best thing ever!!!!! I have naturally straight hair but it waves and frizzes really bad at the bottom. My hair is really long so anything past my shoulders is really damaged from mistreatment. I can't leave the house without straighting my hair. Rain and humidity are my hair's arch nemesis. Well I used this omg!!!! The night I washed out the treatment I went to sleep with my hair wet and woke up looking like I blow dried and straightened my hair already. I didn't have to do anything to it. I spent the day walking in and out of the rain without an umbrella and everytime it air dried it was super shiny straight soft and pure awesomeness!! During the process I was miserable being 3 days without washing my hair but not ever having to do anything to my hair is way worth it!!!!!! I have already gotten a lot of compliments on how beautiful my hair is!!

Firstly, this product works on my hair. I have wavy hair with strong waves in places and the formula has completely flattened them.It is worth noting...as many seem to be complaining about the fumes... that during the process, you will blow dry and straighten your hair without rinsing out the product so, yes, it creates a lot of fumes, it contains formaldehyde and you need ventilation...ie a door open to outside in the same room. Not just a little window.My hair is just past my shoulders and there was plenty of formula, had a bit left over.The shampoo has lasted 6/7 washes.I have not used conditioner since as haven’t needed to.It is extremely important that you do NOT wash the treatment out for three days. Your hair will be better for leaving it.. if you do then your results will not be as hoped.I Did this at home and it’s money well spent, in the past it has cost over £100 at the salon and genuinely, the results, for me, are the same. Just follow instructions properly.

I loved it and had changed my hair to better looking but I just wondered why it gives off from this solution some of dislike smoke specially it burning my eyes and feelt can't breathe well because of this smoke during applying it. Is that mean has percentage of formalin !!

I've tried every keratin treatment out there. I've even flown to the US just to have the Brazilian Blowout. I asked my hair stylist to apply and flat iron. It cost me a fraction of what a BB would cost and the results are exactly what I'd hoped for. My hair is shiny, soft and frizz free. I can air dry and get a beautiful beach wave look or blow dry for a straighter style. My bangs require just one quick swipe with a flat iron and they look amazing. I can even curl my hair when I want and the curls are bouncy and healthy looking. I simply love this product. It does have a strong smell, more so upon application than flat ironing, but using common sense and opening a window makes it less problematic. For best results, I highly recommend having your stylist apply and flat iron. For those of us in Canada who don't have access to the Original BB, this product is a game changer.

Good bottle for someone with short hair. Works amazing. If you want to get rid of ecery curl in your hair, this is really the way to go

I have thick frizzy curly Italian hair and was hoping for some relief from the frizzy atleast. Followed the instructions to a tee! Took about 3 hours total. Bottle should come with gloves as its harsh on the hands. After 24 hours I did the wash and my hair went back to curly frizz but extremely shiny. Wouldn't buy again.

I am in love my hair is blonde thick and frizzy usually takes an hour and a half to straighten my hair I just did this forte product Friday evening my hair is shiny smooth and straight after blow drying No Straightener omg thank you customer for life

Meine Freundin hatte eigentlich eine kaputte Naturkrause. Wir hatten damit gerechnet dass es bei ihren Afro Haaren ein paar Durchgänge benötigt, aber wir waren positiv überrascht das die Haare bereits nach dem trocken Föhnen richtig glatt wurden.Nach dem Glätt-Vorgang war von der ursprünglichen Krause nichts mehr zu sehen.Was geruchssensible Menschen besser beachten sollten: Das Glättungsbalm brennt in der Nase und in den Augen, auch beim Föhnen dampft es ab und zu stark was zu Reizungen führen kann.Ansonsten war die Anwendung sehr einfach, ich würde das Produkt so wieder anwenden.

If done properly, makes the hair super soft and shiny. But the straightening effect wouldn't last long. But gives hair a healthy look and the shine stays for more than 6 months.

Just used this product a week ago. I've been getting keratin treatments at the salon for years now on my frizzy curly hair, and have it done every 4-5 months. My hair has been healthier with fewer split ends since I've started with keratin. It's expensive but worth it. So far this much cheaper at-home solution seems to be working exactly the same on my hair! It's a bit labor intensive to do on your own but I got through it and it's turned out wonderfully so far! Fair warning this product contains formaldehyde, similar to every other salon keratin treatment I've had. I think it needs to in order to have the longterm effects but it does burn the nostrils pretty bad during the application process!

Did work for the first day or two. I bought a probane and sulfate free shampoo after a few shower my hair back to what it was before. I guess it only works on some people. Wanted to return it but had used it so I didnt have the box for rerurn. Was very disappointed.

I just wanted to get my hair healthier and thought a keratin treatment would help. Guess I wasn’t really paying attention because I didn’t realize my hair would stay straight. I have naturally curly hair. I used to have tight ringlets but age and surgeries have thinned and reduced the curl slightly. I followed the instructions and waited 4 days to wash it. I washed it and it’s bone straight still. I let it air dry (something I never would have done with my curls) I normally always use anti frizz serum, mousse and a diffuser on my hair. I honestly can’t believe it. I never straighten my own hair because I can’t and it goes frizzy. I always leave it to my stylist. My hair feels great and healthy, I just hope I won’t miss my curls too much

Just finished putting this on. Made my hair soft and silky. I’ve used the others that weren’t great. If this holds, it would be amazing! The only downside are the fumes. It made tears a couple of times. The smell is okay and not as strong as others. Recommend using a clarifying shampoo first.

Product was decent. As the instructions suggest you should have a friend apply the product as the smell is very strong and can burn your eyes and nose. I would recommend a mask. I can definitely notice a difference in my hair. It is less frizzy and reacts to humidity a lot less. Not as good as the salons but a good deal for less then $50. Next time I would probably purchase the next strongest I have 3a/3b afro hair.
