HermesL'ambre Des Merveilles Eau de Parfum Spray for Women, 1.6 Ounce

My favorite Eau de Perfum is 24 Faubourg by Hermes but I love Jean-Claude Ellena's creations (First by Van Cleef and Arpels being a notable one) so I tried L'Ambre de Merveilles when it first came out. This EDP is no exception to this perfumier's incredible talent. This beautiful fragrance can be worn on many occasions, both formal and informal, and is especially well suited for Autumn-like weather. The top note is amber, which makes it slightly sweet but not obnoxiously so. It also has vanilla and I believe some patchouli, the latter being a common scent shared with 24 Faubourg (which, however,is more floral). As to the lasting power, I believe this depends on the person wearing the EDP. I personally find it fades a bit fast on me and the dry-down, though fabulous, seems a bit short lived so I tend to reapply during the day. Although its not memorable enough to become an iconic fragrance, you will not be disappointed with L'Ambre des Merveilles! It's 5 stars for being exquisite and genuine as well as for the fact that it's new stock (August 2013) and is sold by and shipped from Amazon LLC. Amazon, as usual, did a good job providing excellent customer service. Be aware that now there is low stock that is being sold by another seller.

Its not overpowering and does not linger throughout the day

I avoid fruity and floral fragrances-- they just don't fit me and tend to give me headaches. This perfume has the perfect touch of fruit combined with musky allure and sexiness. Definitely a new staple on my vanity.

The smell of the fragrance is absolutely beautiful, no doubt about that, the issue I encountered is this Eau de Parfum has NO staying power.I spray it on & nobdy can smell it within the hour, including myself.My husband said the Hermes 24 is far superior in that it lasts even to the next day whereas this fragrance seems to evaporate.I'm very disappointed & unfortunately I couldn't return it either, as I purchased it at the Duty Free Shop in Tel Aviv when I was leaving Israel.It may persist on other women but for me it was an absolute dud & for this reason I would not recommend this without at least testing well ahead of buying it.

Wonderful, beautiful scent. It's light and perfect for daytime and evening

This fragrance is nothing like the original product. I have worn it before and the one that was sent is either very old or a fake. It gives me a headache when I attempt to use it.I want to return it or have my account credited for the amount paid.Please contact me to discuss the matter.

Lovely scent and long lasting. I am always way of buying perfume online. Lots of games it there. This one is the REAL deal.

I love the initial smell. But it has no staying power. Fades quickly. Very unfortunate for the price per ounce.
