Range is 1-30mm
Cuts hair great! Plenty of battery for several haircuts. All combs work well. I was especially interested in the 30mm comb [C] as my previous trimmer (Norelco) only adjusted to 20 mm. Much better look for a balding old guy . . .I found a box to store the unit and combs. The comb plastic is high quality, but the largest combs are not complete cylinders where they attach and they need protection from being crushed in storage. The main unit design is a cylinder, like an old school flashlight. It is a bit difficult to grasp as the plastic is fairly smooth. It would have been nice to have a pair of slant accessory combs. All in all, it is well worth the money and I like it.

A great beard trimmer for longer beards.
This is exactly what I was looking for: a beard trimmer that can properly handle longer beards. I use the longest attachment and this does a good job. It's also convenient to use with a good battery life so far, it's lightweight and easy to grip.

Best beard trimmer I've used! Read on to find out why I only gave it 4 stars.
First of all, this is a completely unbiased review as I paid for this item, unlike most of the Vine reviews that you see posted.I was recently in the market for a new beard trimmer. I had grown tired of the one I was using (Braun Cruzer) and it seemed like it wasn't as powerful as it used to be. It also felt like it wasn't holding its charge as well and as a result, starting to pull my beard while trimming. So I set off to do some research to find a replacement...I probably looked for a couple of weeks before finally settling on the Panasonic ER-GB80-S. My biggest drawback was the price. I had a very hard time paying $100 for something I was going to use mostly once a week. Not to mention, it was also over $40 more than the hair clipper that I purchased with it. With that being said, I don't mind paying a little bit extra for a high quality product. I know it says that it can be used to hair but I prefer to have a dedicated clipper for that. Initially I was skeptical because most of the reviewers had were a part of the Vine program. But, they're SUPPOSED to give a fair and honest review, right? So I eventually caved and purchased it because I wasn't thrilled by my other options. I was impressed that it had 39 different settings and could be rinsed under the faucet for quick and easy cleaning. When I received it in the mail, I honestly couldn't wait to use it. I do most of my shaving on Friday night/Saturday morning (because of my profession, I don't have to shave as frequently as others might). So Friday finally arrived and it was time to put it to a test. I noticed a huge difference immediately! Trimming my beard to stubble was enjoyable again! My hair wasn't pulled once and the motor never lost an ounce of power. I tried a few of the different settings before going to the shortest one. The dial turned smoothly and clicked at each individual setting. With so many options, it would be hard to find one that you didn't like! The precision trimmer worked flawlessly also. I mostly use that to trim around my mustache area.Cleaning and oiling it was a breeze. I ran it under water to remove all the hair and haven't seen any side effects from doing so. As with any product that has moving parts, maintenance is key. You should always use the provided oil before and after each use to keep it in top shape! So why only 4 stars? Because there's not an option to give it 4.5 stars and the price. While I'm extremely happy that I purchased it (it provides me with the most comfortable shaving experience I've ever had), I feel that it could have been offered for a lesser price than what I paid for it ($100). The travel pouch also left a lot to be desired. I don't expect it to last very long but I also don't plan on using it that often either. With all that being said, if you use it for everything that it offers, maybe it's worth $100 to you. Either way, you won't be sorry that you bought it!

Best I've Ever Owned
The Panasonic Body and Beard Trimmer is the best I've ever owned; I'd put it in the same class as the trimmer my barber uses. The trimmer is a little bit heavier than the other brands, but that's a good thing. The trimmer feels solid in your hand and is easy to guide. The device is well engineered and does a great job keeping my beard and mustache trimmed cleanly. I've had it for three months now, and the blades are still sharp and it gives me the same trim that I got the day it arrived from Amazon.I've owned many beard trimmers over the years. The Wahl trimmers are lightweight, have a narrow cutting head, the beard-combs are flimsy plastic and easily move out of place, and after a couple months use, the blades seemed dull and I started getting uneven trims. I've owned three Braun Cruzers over the years; the Braun use to be my favorite until I discovered the Panasonic model. The problem with the Braun is that it does not travel well. The adjustable plastic comb is supported for use, but not for packing; every model I've owned has suffered a broken comb in travel. The Panasonic's comb and adjustment mechanism do not suffer from the bizarre Braun design and thru three months of heavy travel, they have held up to airline baggage handlers and being thrown around by taxi drivers without a nick.My five-star rating is not to say that the Panasonic device is not without it's flaws. My real rating would been a 4.9 if Amazon allowed partial star ratings. There are two areas of improvement that I hope Panasonic would consider. First, the travel bag is a joke - it's flimsy and there is not enough space for both the clipper and the charger; for nearly $100 I'd expect more. I found a Tumi zippered bag that does the trick for $7.Second, and this is a knock on all portable non-computer/phone devices with a charger, and that is, every low-power portable device should be USB-C compatible. The voltage specs on the Panasonic charger indicate that the power requirements fit nicely inside the USB power capability. I swear that 15% of my suitcase weight is attributable to chargers. And once every couple of months, I realize I've forgotten and donated an odd-ball charger to the hotel housekeeping staff. I would rather carry one or two USB chargers and two or three USB-C cables to power all of my devices. And if I loose a cable or charger, it's easily replaced; unlike the goofy charger and connector Panasonic provides. And certainly with the commodity pricing of USB-C, Panasonic could probably shave-off [no pun intended] some of the bill-of-materials cost... And now that I think about it for a bit, if Panasonic adopts USB-C charger connections, then there is no reason to increase the size of the travel bag.

Versatile Beard Trimmer with Precision Tool
This trimmer works just like my previous one did. It has a main beard hair adjustable length trimming feature, an supports between 1 and 20 mm in length. There are two combs, one for 1-10mm, the other for 11-20mm. The razor supports being submerged in water. It also has a special trimmer extension for fine adjustments, which is the main reason I bought it. I like this feature the best for fine trimming of my moustache, and sometimes for nose hair. The quality is very good, as I would expect with a Japanese product, and it feels sturdy and reliable. It charges with an included cable that plugs into the base. The only improvement would be for a wall charger to be added (that holds the razor in place on the wall, rather than having to attach a cable).
