Tone City Flexo Drive Overdrive/Boost Toggle Options Fast U.S. Shipping No wait times!

i got my flexo drive after a return of the caline high chief OD. i wanted to test this out more anyway, so when the drive channel the KoT clone didn't work, i was almost excited to trade it in. i set all the knobs at noon and went to work!1. the boost- the boost circuit is super clean, AND LOUD. if you are using it just for the boost, anything past 9 o clock is extremely loud( which is great for its other uses). doesn't mess with the eq, the bass seems to become little more pronounced, but i believe its just how a full eq boost makes everything louder. can definitely make your drive go above the mix with it set on OD into boost. definitely a cleaner boost than my EP booster, but not as sweet sounding. again, a perfect boost for what i bought it for. Really kicks the OD in the ass when the boost goest into it, and also, you still get a slight volume boost, which is nice, considering you generally use it to make a solo sound sexier or a part to stand out2. the drive sounds great, definitely a lil mid boost, not a pedal for making the amp chug lol. But anything from classic rock tones, to blues, to really anything that doesn't need hi gain distortion. i play in a surf rock band, and it gives me a nice vintage gain sound on my deluxe, i don't desire the sound of a cranked marshall...Vintage mode does just that, id say this is closest to the sound of a full drive 2 or 3, definitely not a tube screamer or blues breaker type circuit.open mode- open mode appears to cut off the clipping for the drive resulting in two extreme clean boosts that could be used quite effectively to kick a tube amp into overdrive with a couple stages of boost, and not affect the tone much at all.wide mode- seems like the drive circuit with a wider EQ on it. if i wanted to mix in with the band more id use this setting. the boost adds a little more volume and plenty more "drive" sound out of each setting.Overall, a very satisfying pedal, sounds great, it is replacing my crazy cacti, which is an almost unbeatable pedal for the price and sound, and ill have fun scaring people occasionally with my boost set on extreme.
