Terrorist propaganda
Mr Hamid is well known sympathizer of AQ, OBL and Taliban. His shows are a staple for spreading conspiracy theories that all terrorist activities in the world are a handiwork of CIA, MOSSAD, Illuminati and Indian intelligence agencies. One of the main thesis of this book is that the Afghan war was responsible for the breakup of the USSR. Any student of history would know what was responsible for the collapse of the USSR. Hence keeping in mind all these facts I would not rate this much

which the world media will never like you to know
Truly worth visiting this forgotten piece of history from the perspective of the "other side", which the world media will never like you to know. Learn about true Islamic jihad of modern age from the perspective of a mujahid himself. The accounts of horror and atrocities that can befall a society during times of war and total anarchy is very eye-opening. We need to learn from the experiences of experienced, compare and contrast the stories from "other side", and hope to bring humanity to light some day.

Poignant. Eloquent. Historically correct. Dr. Hamid educates the reader with moving accounts of his youth as a mujahid. We see what he saw. Feel what he felt. The text is larded with photographs that corroborate his memoir. A fascinating read from the Tiger of Pakistan.
