I purchased this item to replace a broken FRONT differential casing on my Volcano EPX PRO. The problem is that this aluminum case is not designed the same as the stock differential. The stock case is designed to allow the drive gear to be set on either the left or right side of the case. Whereas the aluminum casing only allows the drive to be set on the curbside/right side of the case when use as a front differential. Which causes the front wheels to be driven in the opposite direction of the rear wheels, which means the vehicle will not move. It just shakes as the tandems fight against each other. This might work for the rear wheels, but definitely not the front. I had to temporarily remove my front drive shafts (dog bones) in order to use my truck, which means presently I'm running 2 wheel instead of 4 wheel drive. I have ordered a new stock differential which should allow full function of my truck.
