Very Weak Stiching
Very unimpressed with the quality of this backpack. Granted it did not cost a fortune so I did not expect it to be top-of-the-line when I ordered it. However after using it only twice the stitching at the top of the shoulder straps started giving out. The frustrating part was it was not even loaded with much weight when the straps started separating. I was only using it for a laptop along with some books and such.Thankfully I had not selected this backpack as a bug out bag or for something of importantance. If you are looking for a backpack that will last then this is not the one for you.

Great bag.. too bad it sags.
While this is a great bag that can fit pretty much everything you could ever want to carry, there is one HUGE flaw. The bag has no support to it. if you like to pack the different compartments of this bag you'll find the front compartment will droop down and cause the bottom to basically cave in. If the bag is completely packed this isnt a problem but I often find the sagging of the front of the bag causes the back to cave in causing what ever is in the bag to dig into my back It's almost as if the bottom is rounded. So unless the bottom of the bag does not sit flat as backpacks usually do. I've come home with bruises on my lower back from where the bag was sagging and digging in.With that said I still give the aag 4 stars. I've had it now for 2 years - filled it until it looked like it would explode and trecked it all over. It's pretty much the size of a small carry on suit case if you're traveling. On top of that, the 2 inch expansion has really come in handy. If you need even more room, the 2 front compartments are a great size - one can easily fit a travel first aid kit and the other is perfect for glasses cases, bike tools etc. and of course it has 4 additional side pockets.

SADLY, it would have been a great short haul bugout bag BUT.... WAIST BELT FAILED AFTER MINIMAL USE AND UNDER MINIMAL TENSION.
I bought 2 of these a few years ago as bug out bags for my wife and myself. Since then, they have only traveled in the trunks of our cars, except when I update the contents that have expired or are seasonal. My wife's load is considerably lighter. After changing the contents of her bag last night I tried to adjust the waist belt of her bag. As soon as I tightened the belt and tried to close it, the side with the female receiver tore away from the main compartment. Had that happened in the field, the bag would still have been functional, but would have made traveling cross country more difficult because the load would be totally born by her shoulders. Based on experience with packs that don't have waist belts, I'm sure her shoulders would have been hurting within a very short period of time and that she would have fatigued much faster--factors that could prove disastrous in a time-critical crises. Now, of course, I don't have confidence in my bag--which carries a heavier load. That's really unfortunate because the design and capacity of the bag is very good for a short haul (3 days) bag: 1) It's compact enough to keep one (or two) in the trunk of a small car and still have enough room for groceries, 2) It's side and top handles make it very easy to transfer between vehicles, 3) It has a pocket for a water bladder and well thought out side and back pockets that make it a decent "grab and go" bag, 4) Its molle straps and panels are standard size and allow secure attachment of add-on pouches, and 5) The zippers seem sturdy--at least so far, including the zippered expansion option. All in all, I'm more sad than mad about the waist belt failure (though I might feel differently had the failure occurred in the field).

Great bag, lots of room.
Just received his bag, seems very well made. I would say the material feels much thicker than your average Jansport bag that's made today. Has a ton of room. It also has a hole in the top for a wire to go through to either charge your laptop or plug in headphones if you wanted to store your device in the main compartment. I wasn't really looking for a tactical bag, just a large backpack to use back and forth to work everyday. My High Sierra bag I was using was working fine, but days I would stuff to capacity I felt like a freshman in high school all over again. I have a feeling this will work very well for me, and have plenty of room to spare.I can definitely see why people would use as a bug out bag.One thing I noticed after I made this review is that the bag's zippers do not have any metal pulls to open the compartments. Each one is like a small piece of shoelace. If they break or if they come unknotted, your gonna have a bad time.I will update if anything goes wrong or notice anything I don't like.
