The battery lid is very awkward to get on, and that's if you can discover which is the correct way to put them in. The label inside needs to be read with a telescope.Anyway, when you finally get the batteries in correctly and the lid on, I slid the switch and and a real small white torch came on. it was OK for it's size. then I slid it the other way and the black light came on. it may as well be black. I have a tiny uv torch which is 1/4 of the size of this black light strip bulb but my torch is a hell of a lot brighter.this review is based on testing inside a pitch black room on uv felts and paints.My small uv torch can light anything up from all areas of the room. This black light /uv light has to be right up close almost touching what you want to see.plus this takes 4 batteries, the other takes 2.

Had one for years never had any problem but one say the battery compartment door was lost so bought this as a replacement. If you know what to look for on banknotes to check for fake ones .this torch can potentially save you thousands in stopping you getting deceived and good for travelling abroad. Comes with a normal white light for use as a normal torch built in stand

Once you've worked out how to open the battery compartment (as there are no instructions) there is no indication of which way to insert the batteries and whichever way you try they stick out beyond the top of the compartment making it really hard to slide the flimsy cover back on. Having tried the batteries in various combinations it still didn't work. This is a really small torch which is named as an 'ultra portable UV bank note checker with torch' on the packaging and yet this is not how it is described on the product listing. This is a truly awful, cheaply made and flimsy product.

Had this delivered very quickly and at a great price. Shame it does not work. Very poor light from this item despite using brand new tested batteries in it. I don't know if the bulb has been damaged or if it is just a duffer but it's completely useless.

Plastic cover that protect the tube lighting fell off when taking the item out of the box first time!! looks good on the photo's but obviously not the same when you have it in you hand poorly made - I don't recommend anyone to buy
