English Vocabulary SparkNotes Study Cards (Volume 7)

I have bought the cards to prepare for TOEFL. It will be my second attempt. I expected to see words that help me to improve my vocabulary, but any time I try to use the cards I want to through them away. They are unbelievably hard to memorise. I have Upper-Intermediate/Low Advanced level of English.Do not spend money for these card.

There is no indication of grade level or difficulty level on the packaging otherthan "expand your vocabulary" and "review for standardized tests" .With words such as collusion-immutable-spurious-winsome, these cards would benefit a college graduate, a student in college, an honors-English high school student or a member of a debating team.I am an ESL volunteer tutor who thought the cards could be used with my students. It was rated 4 stars because it was a good bargain.

I keep reviewing the words. I think some of the words would not be used by most people. Otherwise they are fine.

Good product... Had some duplicate cards though

Es muy práctico para aprender palabras de nativo, aunque hay algunas palabras que, desde mi punto de vista, sobran porque no son comunes en la comunicación de cualquier tipo de temática. Aún así, me parece una buena compra

Compré estas tarjetas para estudiar vocabulario nuevo para la oposición y son geniales. El diseño es simple pero bonito. Viene la palabra en un lado de la tarjeta y la definición con un ejemplo en el reverso. Las recomendaría 100%.

Brilliant product for my boyfriend teacher's use in his classes. (Also great to try to catch each other out with words we don't know!) A great mix of 'common' and 'rare' words and a brilliant way for children and adults alike to expand their vocabulary.
