Después de varias pruebas , lo que recomiendo es colocarla a 2" del borde del escalón, y a 5" en ambos lados proporciona mejor control y seguridad en cada paso. Muy recomendable !!!!

Upon opening the package I thought the grit on the tape would be too rough. Still, I installed three strips onto the one step that leads down from our kitchen into our family room that is notorious for causing slipS and falls (including me slipping and falling flat on my behind while hosting a dinner party in front of guests).Install was very easy and the tape is durable and high quality and thick. I swept and cleaned the step with water and all purpose cleaner before installing. I was done within a few minutes. I read other reviews that you need a roller to remove the bubbles and press the tape down clear but I didn't have one so I just put on my house slippers and stomped the crud out of the strips. Surprisingly it's not as rough as I thought. It's actually great even in bare feet. I think the stomping helped, too. It really looks great and we will be saving a lot of behinds in this household.Very happy with the product!

We bought this to stick on our stairs to make it easier for our aging dog to go down without slipping. It was easy to cut and we stick it on our wooden stairs. It stays put nicely but also I needed to reposition some of the strips and ithry were easily removable and no glue or damage to the wood was done. Our dog has got her confidence back walking down.We just avoid them when we wear our socks :)

Can honestly say this product has worked out well for my needs. It started when I was putting bamboo treads on our new staircase. I slipped on its slippery surface and fell half way down the stairs. That hurt! And I knew I needed something to prevent that from happening again.After receiving the XFasten I immediately started installing it. Was impressed with the adhesive used which had a backing strip that was actually quite easy to peal back! I used rubbing alcohol to clean each tread and then I cut each strip of XFasten to length and, using a try square made pencil marks every 12 inches as guide marks to keep it straight and all the same. It went on very easily and was pretty forgiving if I had to lift it up a little to keep it straight. Then I used a small roller to press it down (optional) and fully (permanently) stick down.Really like the look, and now there is no way we will ever slip on these stairs..
