A Mixed Bag
Full disclosure, I am using Teams for this device and I know you can setup other SIP based services but this is based on Teams. I honestly hard a hard time trying to understand how these fit into the market especially when you have no camera unlike some of the Crestrons and with all the bugs and performance, is there really market? I purchased one as my company insists these should be provided to c-suite execs and I am expected to help solution and I do this in my own development tenant first. This is the second one I have bought as the first just started flaking out with constant screen refreshes after about two weeks out of the box. The replacement seems to be much better in that regard however the software was so old even Company Portal would not complete an Intune user enrollment so I had to fire up the web server and manually upgrade the thing. I can see why people hate these as the amount of work to make them work is obscene. Then, I ask myself why I have had to build all sorts of exceptions to my CA rules, enrollment restrictions which now require I manually register these devices into Intune when my Teams app on my phone and PC work much better plus I have video on each. I have talked to Microsoft product folks several times about all this and it sounds like they also understand how convoluted these are. I cannot honestly recommend these to anyone as they serve little value over what the Teams app already provides. Sure I am able to use this for meetings and hands free seems a little better but it's a pain to use my Savi with it and that is 95% of my usage. If you're using Android in your org, you don't have to compromise and enable DA mode if your an AE env which in 2023 is just nuts. Add the camera and I will reconsider it's purpose and might even overlook some of the shortcomings.

Not Teams compatible and did not honor refund
We purchased 3 of these phones for use with our TEAMS system. None of the phones worked properly and did not show up as pictured on the sellers site. All three phones would answer calls, immediately place callers on hold and then disconnect at random. When a refund was requested for the devices which were all sent back in original condition after one weeks use, they refunded two devices and then refunded less than half the amount from the third phone with no explanation as to why it isn't being refunded in full. So now we are out $180.00 for a product that didn't work and was returned in perfect condition as per the websites return requirements.

Revised from 1 star to 4 then back down to 2!
LATEST REVIEW SEPTEMBER 17 2020Speakerphone function just doesn't work. Everyone complains, so you can't use it due to poor sound quality. Usually sound is just garbled. Then randomly it will be clear, but then super loud on the listeners end. They accuse you of screaming.I upgraded all ethernet cables to Cat6 and have 1G service, so I ruled out internet as an issue. It is a hardware or firmware issue.I'm relegated to pulling out my Jabra 510 for calls on speaker. The handset works fine. Using a headset works great.Since the speaker was a huge part of having this desk phone.... I would not buy.Shame on Poly for sending a phone initially with outdated firmware that didn't work with Teams. They knew it wasn't ready for Teams, only Skype. Then to have bad basic functions? I am avoiding Poly forever.Feel free to respond Poly!LATEST REVIEW SEPTEMBER 1 2020The latest firmware update showed up August 30th 2020 on the Teams admin site....had to go look to find it (polycom website still doesn't show it available). After this update this fixes all my issues in my prior review. I now have a directory with names, a speed dial and favorites with names. The User Interface is much improved and now the phone works like it should. I still don't see names on my voicemails yet...but it may be there.Only issue I have now is the hand free speaker gets nothing but complaints from people I call. I can't ever use it as they say I am too quiet and sound like i'm in a tin can. I have not docked stars for this. I think this may be my router and cabling, so i'm going to look into this and get back to you. Since they sell a non-handset version...i'm imagining it can't be this bad...has to be something wrong with my setup.I would recommend this phone now. Learning curve is a bit steep for some users. Phone does work and has good basic functionality now. I am glad there's a 7" screen...can't imagine much smaller (like the CCX400). I would recommend the larger screen.I wish it had a send-to-phone function in Teams. I can't seem to ever find this as a device inside teams. I think this is coming with BToE software updates...but we'll see if it ever shows up on my Teams app.PRIOR REVIEW MID-AUGUST 2020Not really a usable phone for Microsoft Teams. Call history and Speed dial only shows #'s and no names or descriptions. Supposedly this is in process of being updated with a firmware release (Microsoft released in May...it is now June and nothing for the CCX500).You also can't see a call on your computer and pass it to your phone...kind of the whole point right? Shows up as a device some places, but not others. Can't pass audio from a teams' video chat to this phone...this really ends up being a really stupid $90 VOIP phone with no Caller ID (but with a fancy touchscreen you can use while you're looking at your computer to compare your contact name to the phone number in your recent history.DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE UNTIL THE FIRMWARE IS READY TO IMPLEMENT MICROSOFT "PEOPLE" SO YOU CAN SEE CALLER ID.
