The first day they came in the mail was super cloudy outside but I set him outside anyway because I know you can still get sun through clouds. And let me tell you they were 100% that night and have ever since! I love any kind of solar light that looks like fire. These are attractive during the day and set the mood at night they make you feel fancy. They don't give off a whole lot of light so if you're looking for that you won't get this here. It is important for me to see my table next to me at night so I can see where I'm sitting down my drink or where my stuff is. Since he's come in a set of 2 as you can see in the pictures I set my second one out on my table that sits out by the pool and I love being able to look at it from far away and love how it reflects on the pool water! I would get these if I were you definitely worth the price!

I first ordered a different brand of solar LED flame lanterns from Amazon but the flame was far from realistic, jerky and obviously repeating a simple pattern so I returned them. I then ordered these and they arrived early enough to put them out for about a half day of sun. The first night they worked perfectly. The flame actually does look realistic and they are a perfect brightness. Later that same first night a storm rolled in and we got about two inches of rain, pouring all over these solar lanterns. The next night, they worked perfectly again. Hopefully they will keep on working through the elements.

Have owned for about 1 week. Everything about the lights are as described. Out of the box and on the outdoor pole in minutes. Lit up immediately when tested in dark room. Came on outside at sunset and stayed on until the next morning. Same story every day. Nice, attractive lantern during the day and at night.

I placed these outside simply to charge and then, since we’re quarantined like the rest of America, we watched movies and totally forgot about them.When my dad went to bed, I heard him say an impressed, “Well, what do we have here?!”I walked over to discover flickering “flames” warming up the night, stone path illuminated in a truly magical way.Best part? They last hours and hours.You wake up at 3 am? Still on!I’m gifting them to a friend now. That’s why I logged back onto the ‘Zon.Worth. Every. Penny.

In the picture, or two sets of lights I bought and there roughly within $1 apart. The ones on the right are from eBay and the ones on the left just came in from Amazon. You can see a big difference between the two. The ones from Amazon are taller, brighter and have more flicker effect than the ones on the right. I wish I could return the ones on the right to eBay. I am going to see what I could do because I'm very unhappy now that I see the ones from Amazon. That tells you I like the ones from Amazon very, very much. And the proof is in the picture. The picture does not show how good the flicker is that represents the candle. It really does look like a candle inside of a jar and that's exactly the look I wanted. so, I will be ordering more and trying to see what I can do about the ones on the right that I don't like it all now. Folks, for the money, as you can see, you cannot go wrong with these from Amazon. My thanks to the manufacturer for building a really great solar flicker lantern. I will be buying more again and showing people the picture so they don't make the mistake of buying from eBay. Typically, the stuff I buy from eBay is usually pretty good. I would have liked the ones from eBay had I not seen the ones from Amazon and how much better they are for the same money. Well, that was a lesson learned that I won't make that mistake again. The money for these lanterns is very well spent and you can't go wrong. The proof is in the picture from an Amazon buyer and not 8 rep or paid reviewer. I don't even know how you become a paid reviewer. And I would like to. LOL. So the simple truth is that you cannot go wrong with these lanterns and don't bother looking for anything else. Just a few years ago LED flame lights were absolutely horrible they looked at nothing like a realistic flame however I have to give this company credit where it's due, the replication of a flaming Lantern it's spot-on. They're not overly bright nor to dim. I have not time to exactly how long they stay on but right now I have been outside about 6 hours after they've turned on and they were still going strong. It's relatively dark before they turn on which is perfect. I actually ordered 10 more flame lights to extend through the yard because I was so impressed with this product. I definitely recommendUpdate 2/2/21 I purchased three different brands of these lights all a couple days apart and by Far and Away these lights have a flame pattern thwtvis610 x more realistic and the batteries are phenomenal. They turn on before the sun goes down and are still on the next morning as the sun is coming up every other light that I have gives out after about four to six hours. Mind you 4 to 6 hours is technically plenty of time to enjoy your backyard at night but I have absolutely nothing bad to say how about these particular lights

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought two sets of these. They look great, perfect ambience. The clips that are included are very hard to open but that is the way they are designed. They keep the lantern in place. I have my lights under the front patio awning and only get sun in the late afternoon. They are fully charged when the sun goes down and illuminate my from porch perfectly. I love them so much, I’m looking to buy more.
