First, I want to start off by saying these are not professional acoustic foam panels. Not by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to set up a professional studio, look elsewhere. But that's not what I was looking for.My wife and I both work from home. My son goes to school from home (no, we're not shut-ins, we do get out and socialize). Sound travels in our house. The first thing I did was put draft stoppers underneath the doors. That helped. I began by adding these panels to my son's bedroom door. I was actually amazed. The combination of the draft stoppers and adding a dozen of these panels onto his door heavily muffled the sound. When he's streaming or doing any of that stuff, the sound can be audible when it gets loud, but not nearly what it was. For him, the ambient noise in the house is muffled so that it's not distracting his school or streaming.I'm so thrilled with these, I'm adding them to the master bedroom door (my wife's desk is in there), and my home office door. It's exactly what I was looking for.

The instructions say to soak them for 5 minutes but I left them inside the water for a couple of hours until the ones that were FLAT fluffed up. I used them on the outside of my bedroom door to keep the noise out and I have noticed some difference.

I bought these to soundproof my door to keep out noise from construction going on outside.This was my first time doing this and it was very easy. To my surprise the panels work, and I cannot hear anything outside. The panels are easy to cut to fit to size. They come in a small package and you must place them water so they can expand. Instead of using a spray adhesive, I used Command Poster Strips. I love how it turned out since this was my first time doing this.I am so surprised they work.

These have clearly been sitting in a warehouse for years under compression in their packaging. "1 inch foam" is flattened to less than 1/4 inch. They are weak, they are flimsy, they are not uniform. Definitely go for the 2in foam or a different brand. Also, no adhesive included just fyi.

I bought these two separate times. The first batch I got, I soaked em, wrung them out, let em dry. They fluffed back up and they look good, work as well as I need them to. Second batch not so good. I did the soak/wring/dry method twice and at least half of them didn't fluff/decompress. I put them up anyway in an area that it didn't matter as much. So yeah. Hit or miss. But you get what ya pay for right?

So definitely leave it out for at least 24 hours in the room you’re going to have it in do not put them up immediately they do shrink

Too thin

Hade a dust vacuum that n the garage that was deafening so I enclose it to n plywood lined with this. It seems to cut the noise in half. I can now hear myself think while it’s running while I’m using my tools!

I received a package of 12 and not the same brand. So ended up paying about 6 dollars each for a square foot of thin foam. Should of just bought a memory foam mattress for that price.

The title says that this is a 52 pack of 12"x12"x1" panels. There are only 12 pieces in the package. Don't let the title fool you. It's a total rip off
