Kamik Child Seaturtle 2 Sandal

We bought these for our boys for the summer and they have held up really well to crazy boys wearing them everyday.

My son is hard on shoes... long gone are the days when I could buy expensive sandals and expect to get $20 for them at the end of the season. There may be nothing like Keens for traction, but he's a big kid now, and I have to stop worrying at some point that he's going to fall down, lol! We both like the styling and openness of the Kamiks. The tread looks great, and they seem as well made as the Kamik boots he has had before.On the day they arrived, he stopped reaching for the sneakers and is wearing them everywhere except to school already. He says they're comfortable and "they look so cool!" I like the closed toe. The adjustable heel strap let me buy a half size up, so hopefully we'll get more mileage out of them, for $25 less than sandals cost us last year. If they don't survive I'll let you know, but I think it's going to be Seaturtle2 for the win.

Roomy sandels, and super cute for wide feet, and sturdy for water wear, and kids who are rough on their toes during spring and summer, they have bummer guards to help from slipping, and sliding as well!!

Stayed on my 6 year old through rocky beaches and waterfalls. No blisters!

Not thrilled with lifespan, but might buy again:Purchased June 2022, worn for a season as a walking/play shoe. Minimal contact with water. Its the start of warm weather here (May 4th) and after a few days of wear, the shoe gave up the ghost. This is the first pair of shoes to have such a short lifespan for my kiddo. With the brand and description of the shoe, I expected them to be much more durable. Instead, they didn't hold up to play, walking and school yard for more than a few short months.On the bright side, they were Very Comfy, cute and didn't catch on anything as she played.

We have been buying these sandals for over 4 years now. These are built to last. Fit as they should and can handle a beating. I wish they had this design for adults.
