Q: What kind of life expectancy of the covers are folks finding ?

I initially was not a fan of these cleat covers. I bought them when I had version X-Series Speedplays: They don't fit. I was not happty. So I set them aside. But then I bought new V.2 X-Series pedals and cleats and pulled them out the old tool box and put them on my new cleats. They are great! They stay on 100% of the time, for me, anyway and, given the nature of my bike commute, I walk on them several blocks 2X a day. I have absolutely no problems and it's been at least a year and a half and the wear on them is minimal. I'm a total fan now! I would remind you that I attached these covers to new cleats. Haven worn down many cleats because I had to walk on them because the "Cafe Covers" never stayed on well, I bet these would not stay on cleats that are worn down. But if you are going to put them on new, version 2 cleats, you are going to be very happy and they are going to last a long time!

Q: Will these work wahoo speedplay comp pedals?

I would not think so as the wahoo Speedplay pedal platform is totally different than the original Speedplay pedal x series pedals/cleats.

Q: Anyone have tips for keeping these on or alternatives? Just lost my right one yesterday and it's a shame they do not sell only specific sides.

Chris...I lost one too...luckily I had an idea where and I was able to retrieve it! I use dabs of Shoe Goo to hold the cleat cover on!! That works great...redo it every 6 months or if it seems to be getting loose!! And it you need to replace the cleat, this allows it to be removed!
