I didn't use this as an ice pick. I wish I could say I was a serial killer and used it to stab my neighbor but that would be a lie too (LOL!) I used it as a ground probe to locate the underground pipes for our rain gutters to hook onto them. It works well and would chop a block of ice too if that's what you want it for. I do like the wooden handle! It's built well. A bit long but will do the job for you.

This ice pick busts up my ice inside of my ice maker so I don’t have to pull the entire bin out anymore!

I use this for piercing baking potatoes before inserting a temperature probe. Don't judge me, I am particular about baked potatoes. The Ice Pick has a solid shaft, great point, and very good handle. If the dang metal cap on top wasn't loose it would be perfect. Is it wrong to be picky about an ice pick? For the price this pick is just fine. I would buy it again.

We've only had this for about a month or so as of now. I got this for my husband b/c he's been eating a lot of ice for kidney health reasons & he uses this to break up the ice in his metal insulated cup. And I couldn't find one at our local Walmart in store or Rural King. So we will see how long it lasts.

My ice maker broke. I have been buying bag ice as it is only my wife and I and we don’t use that much ice. I purchased this pick because it reminds me of the one my Granny had. It works perfect! Trip down memory lane

My husband used this for ice to separate in the bowl. It worked well

I was looking for a product to remove ice cubes from trays as my hands can’t twist them any more. This does not do the job but I have found it useful in other ways.
