Good, Dependable Thermometer For Home Use
For $10, the price at the time of this review, you may not get the same thermometer that doctors use, but this inexpensive one is very good for home use. I tested the thermometer multiple times and all the readings were very close to each other.What a joy to use a digital thermometer like this instead of the mercury ones used previously. For years taking the temperature required a lot of shaking of the thermometer to get the mercury column down low enough, then after taking the temperature squinting your eyes while rolling the thermometer with your fingers to discover where the mercury stopped so you would know what the temperature was.Now you just press a button to turn it on, stick it under the tongue or arm or in the rectum, wait the required number of seconds (you will hear a beep), and read the temperature in the large window. There is nothing on the thermometer that bothers you when it is under your tongue or anywhere else.The window and numbers are large enough that the numbers are very easy to read.Between each use, including taking your own temperature multiple times, you must turn it off.The thermometer is powered by a small LR41 button cell battery, which is supplied. I appreciate sellers who include a battery with the their product, especially when it is one you may not be able to find where you shop in your townThe battery should last a long time. The thermometer draws little power and in most homes is not likely to be used on a frequent basis. But if you need replacement batteries Amazon has them for a very modest price.The thermometer comes in a very nice plastic case which gives it great protection when stored between uses or if you travel with it.I found it works best when taking your own temperature to turn it on then immediately put to under your tongue. Not being able to see the window I couldn’t be sure it was turned on otherwise.The thermometer has a streamlined appearance and seems to be well made. It can be use with adults, children, babies and pets. Just wipe it off with alcohol after each use and it is ready for the next use.

What is your temperature?
It does what it is supposed to do and is easy to operate and read. I suggest you keep track of your temperature for a while to establish a base line as temperatures can vary from person to person.
