excellent scale for price point
Having used analytical scales for decades was surprised you could get a scale for $17, a similar Metler and Toledo at this resolution would run >= $1000 . A 'portable' analytical balance is not easy to do as even if accurate for specified conditions, environmental changes have to be controlled otherwise the lowest resolution with be unstable. This meter is sold by many vendors under different names, and while It takes more time to get a good measurement for occasional use, particularly at home rather than a lab, and for uses over 10mg its very cost effective.Prosstable to 10mg, usable to 1mgcomes with all you need to work with 1mg itemspocket sizedAA poweredConsDrifts at 1mg over hours, its +/- 10mg likely is most repeatable, even with stable environmentalsneed to calibrate it daily before use if you wish to do 1 mg as best possiblelid is not big enough to house measuring cup when closed to avoid wind/air current effects1 mg resolution is sensitive to position on the platform, it must be centered by eye, the scale is best on flat surface so you need to confirm that with a level if you port this around

This is a good deal and well worth it
Surprisingly resilent. Way worth it. Dependable and accurate. You're going to want the extra decimal places. No need to rely on something less accurate. This is great. Keep one for yourself and gift others to friends.

Easy to use, tare capable, calibration weight, and attached lid.
Works great. Easily calibrated with included 50 gram standard weight. Rechecked several times during a week of use and it maintained it extremely well. Has tare function as does any good scale. The attached lid is good as scales in this range must be protected. My only regret is that I found a 100 gram unit after I bought this 50 gram unit.

Accurate scale
It is a lot faster to use than a slide scale. I did notice that it is slow to read small changes in weight so I tap it after a very small change. I like that it uses normal batteries. The tweezers are almost useless and I found the powder dish too small for my taste so I use the one from my old slide scale.

Fantastic for weighing coins!
This little weight is lightweight and super easy to use. Keep the plate clear when you turn it on and wait for it to go to 0 and then add your item.I wanted something that would go to hundredths of a gram because i use this for weighing coins. If you collect coins, or even silver bullion, then you may find this handy to weigh the coin or bar to make sure it matches the expected weight for that type. Often times when coins or bullion is counterfeit the weights or sizes will be off. So getting a scale with this level or precision is a quick way to help spot fakes. You can also use this scale to measure the specific gravity since it does take you to a thousandth of a gram (0.001g) you're able to get the detailed readings you need in order to calculate it.I would definitely recommend this to a friend or any coin collector.

5-Star for the price. Validated with better scale.
I updated my review because I had the option of validating measurements with another, more accurate and precise scale that was recently calibrated.I’m still seeing some buggy behavior, which I’ll describe below, but the bug is tolerable for what I’m doing. The bug: After taring the scale, small changes of matter on top do not register. The scale reads zero until a significant amount of matter is loaded, then suddenly jumps to a value that seems appropriate. Once it registers at that value, it seems to then operate within its specified sensitivity. As a user, this gives me pause to trust the reading. So, I took some small items (the tray that ships with the product and an empty pill capsule) and weighed them on our scale at work, which costs thousands of dollars.Model number: XA 60/220/X. Calibrated by ESSCO on July 13, 2018.I also attached images of the different readings for your viewing pleasure. For the price tag, if I continue to have concerns about the readings, I’ll just buy two (or three, if mission-critical) of these little scales and compare the measurements.Overall, this is a great product.

Amazingly accurate
I previously used a different, 0.01 accuracy scale and wanted something more granular yet accurate for weighing medicine. This one works great and I was surprised I'm able to weigh single empty gelatin capsules size 4 (very small ones), which makes it perfect for mixing dosage of medicine, or practically anything else. Not sure if this accuracy will hold forever, but at least for now I'm amazed and very pleased with this scale.

Grams imprecises and inaccurate at hundredths and thousandths
Imprecise in grams at thousandths decimal and questionable to the hundredths. This scale, on a leveled flat surface, gave different readings of the same object in the thousandths and unless what your measuring is precisely in the center of the measuring tray, reported variability in the hundredths. Because they cannot be exactly centered on the scale's tray, powder and spheres are inaccurate--don't plan on measuring anything less than 100 milligrams. Not good for precision reloading!

Very Good!
For me, who encapsulates my organic cinnamon and my organic turmeric, it worked perfectly.

Quality and Accuracy is a bit sketchy
Quality/craftmanship is very sketchy. Everything is loose. The windshield is loose, the weight disc come right off and is rough on the edges.Accuracy is terrible with small weights, the scale doesn't register anything under 0.019g (first attempt), 0.033g(second attempt). Also with the second attempt, by taking the weight off the scale for 2 seconds and put the exact same weight back on the scale, it now reads -0.041g. How is that possible?
