Nova Nutritions Betaine HCL 648 mg 250 Capsules

Used this for gastritis. I have a hiatal hernia and Gerd. It is VERY important to heal the stomach first before using this or it will do you no favors. I used DGL, slippery elm and bicarbonate of soda then bitters before every meal and then when I thought the lining of my stomach could take it I took one of these at each meal with meat for several weeks before I upped it to two. I am not symptom free but then again my hiatal hernia will never go away but life is so much better

This is the first time I have used this brand. I had another one on subscription but kept finding it was out of stock. This is a good sized bottle for the price. It works just as well as the other brand I used and aids digestion.

I had been very ill for a year and had no appetite due to medication. When I came off the medication and switched to using Zell Oxygen, Colostrum and a selection of superfoods to try and rebuild myself I found that my appetite returned. However, I wasn't really digesting food and anything I ate would result in extreme discomfort. I got these on the recommendation of a kinesiologist. They have been easy to swallow and I've found that they are definitely working for me. I don't eat meat or fish yet but I feel hopeful that with these I will be back to eating tougher foods in no time!

I've been taking a brand of Betaine HCl without Pepsin for 6 months because I developed a severe indigestion after a raw vegan diet. This has helped with making digestion easier and all the benefits from that: no more bloating, better skin, better sleep, less pain in the joints. I combined with Chlorella, probiotics and NAC to repair my gut lining. Betaine HCl helped my mom with her heartburn...Doctors usually prescribe anti-acids for when they should address the root causes: not enough bile, not enough hydrochloric acid, bad teeth etc.

This products increases your acid levels in your stomach and if that's what you need then this is a good product.

Struggling with severe acid reflux and feeling like I can't digest my food, even drinking a smoothie. This product has helped tremendously, I am still slowly increasing the dosage to find the right amount for me. I know the thought of taking additional acid when you are raw from acid in your throat can seem intimidating but it worked for me. Just start slow and see if your body responds well. I can eat like a normal person again and not be in pain.

If you struggle with stomach/digestive issues and wonder if you may have leaky gut- you may want to try this product. I had terrible eczema and was researching causes and treatment options when I ran across this. You just take one or two before or right after meals with protein- and this acid helps to break down the protein. No more issues in two years. Great product.
