Great product but the assembly instructions are atrocious.
Thank goodness I can understand German and am quite handy with assembly and DIY...The instructions with black and white pictorials are accompanied by German text. The English instructions are textual only, and require flipping between the German pictorial instructions, list of parts and English instructions, making the assembly hellish for a regular user.Once assembled, the product seems sturdy and flawless.Small gripe - the wheels are a bit tight, so once the bucket is near empty, while rolling on a particularly non-tactile surface, the wheels will not spin easily.

Not good at all .
What a load of rubbish . The instructions are utterly useless . All in german and the photos are very poorthey show no detail whatsoever . It looks like the paperwork has been done on a copier thats past its best .Missing washers , I found the whole plot very flimsy and badly thought out . How long this is supposed to last .... who knows ! !The axle has a flat spot that fits in to the rotator .. This isnt a good idea , it has no support on either sideand moves around freely . Tony king . on his review drilled either side of this and fitted 2 split pins to keep it in place .. I drilled out 2 penny washers and put a jubilee clip on either side of the rotor drive to keep it all in place .. Double washers every where and it seems very sturdy . Good luck

A Decent Product
For the size of the spreader when assembled, the item is delivered in a neat compact box.Like the many reviews before me, I can agree that the manual (most likely written by non-English speaking 5yr olds!!), is a complete waste of time. The print on the manual appears to be something that was copied from another document which may have been copied a hundred times before that. The pictures are barely legible and for what they show, not worth placing in the document!! Some of the screw parts they reference in the assembly guide are also wrong leading me to disassemble them and start again - eventually, I threw the manual to one side and assembled the spreader using gut-feeling and some common sense - the Germans may be brilliant at product manufacturing, but useless when it comes to writing manuals!!Putting aside the useless manual, once assembled and the bucket filled with lawn feed, the spreader was ready to use.The rate of feed is controlled by a lever at the side of the handle bar, which adjusts the size of the holes at the base of the bucket. The lever goes from zero (hole completely closed) up to 10 (holes fully open). The position of the lever will ultimately be dependent and the size of the feed granules, but for the product I used, I found it best at position no.2.The spread area is governed by the rate at which you walk/push the spreader - the faster you walk, the faster the blade at the base of the bucket spins and the further out the feed is thrown. Similarly, the slower you walk, the slower the blade turns, hence the distance the feed is spread is less. I found that less than average walking speed was ideal. I would suggest a trial is conducted in the middle of the lawn to determine the lever position/walking speed to get the right balance for the size of feed you are using.Remember to set the lever to zero every time you stop in order to prevent the feed continuing to drop at the same location.A well built product only to be let down by the assembly manual.

Poor assembly instructions, wheel jammed, defective product
The manuals general blurb is in German and English but the assembly instructions section are in German only and quality of photos is awful. As a reasonably handy person took almost 2 hours to assemble, only to discover one of the bars which connects to the spreader bucket bent causing the support frame to be completely out of alignment resulting in one of the wheels being jammed against the frame. One wheel moves freely the other doesn’t so spreader completely inoperable.Returning for refund. Even if it had of worked, quality is not great, so wonder how long it would actually work for before breaking, especially with a full spreader bucket of fertiliser. Guess you get what you pay for.

One wheel drive.
It’s rather bizarre that only one of the wheels drives the sprinkler mechanism, the unit would work far better if both wheels drove the mechanism. The instructions are sketchy to say the least.
