Used to make Mother’s Day presents
I really like this product and I think it works well. The only qualm I have with it is that it didn’t specify in the directions not to use cookie sheets that have the indentations underneath, and my handprints did not turned out well on my test run that I did with my own kids definitely going to try to do some other projects this summer so next year when I use it, I will be much better at making sure it’s all done right and easily .

I got this for my granddaughter. We use rubber stamps and she colored them in. Great kit that has everything you need to make jewelry, keychains and more. They shrink up nicely. Perfect gift.

Complete ShinkyDink alternative kit
In addition to the actual plastic sheets, this set comes with almost everything else you need to make plastic charms and keychains: key rings, chains, etc. it even includes a single hole punch! Unlike the ShrinkyDinks of my childhood, these plastic sheets are "frosted". There is a frosted side that is textured and rough to the touch. The other side is clear, shiny plastic. The instructions are for actually printing onto the plastic sheets rather than tracing or drawing on them. The instructions suggest that you if you want color, you should just a color inkjet printer. I decided to print line drawings onto the sheets using my black and white laser printer and then color the designs. The first minor problem I encountered is that the plastic sheets are not standard letter sized and my printer complained. The bigger problem is that the printer did not seem to handle printing on the plastic well. The top third of the sheet printed OK but the bottom two thirds of the sheet did not work well. The images were layered on top of each other. I ended up manually correcting the bottom images with a black sharpie. I then colored the images using permanent markers and cut them out. I used the included hole punch to ensure I put holes into the designs intended for keychains. My son and I excitedly put the designs into a preheated oven to watch the shrinking process. As with the shrinkydinks of my youth, these curled up a bunch before they started to flatten out. Unfortunately, though, they never quite flattened out. I recall that shrinkydinks often came out of the oven slightly curled. You just needed to flatten them with a heavy object before they hardened. However, these were not just slightly curled. Some of them were still warped (see picture.) Once I realized they were not going to flatten out any more, i took them out of the oven to manually press them flat (as the instructions advise). However, that didn't seem to work either, as the plastic seemed to have already hardened. I'll see if I have better luck with the next batch.
