Selected ingredients: Crabwood Oil - from the Amazonian forest. The traditional extraction method is very primitive. The Indians stack the nuts in the open and allow them to ferment, the shell cracks open easily and the oil sluices out from the pulp. The oil is used as a natural repellent against the attack of haematophagous insects (mainly mosquitoes). The properties are due to the high percentage of furanic-terpenoid derivates which repel haematophagous insects and particularly the mosquitoes of the culex, aldes, anofeles, pinus and similar types, eliminating their impulse to sting and suck blood. Citronella Oil - Citronella Oil is obtained by the distillation in water or steam of Cymbopogon nardus, native to Sri Lanka. It is known for its natural property against insects. Its scent infuses "sensations" of freshness and gives energy when feeling tired and "hot". It also has a deodorant and slightly astringent action. Neem oil - Is extracted from "Azadirachta indica" and is known for the versatility of its medical properties and it is a component of Ayurveda. This oil keeps the insects away, since it is responsible of a very negative action on their hormonal production and, therefore, on their growth. It is an important natural remedy against insects because they don't endure its smell. Wax of Barley seeds - Barley seed wax is an extraordinarily effective vegetable complex in the treatment of irritated, dry, sensitive skin. The combination of fatty acids, vitamins and phytosterols allows it to regenerate skin barriers, bringing the skin softness and nourishment. Furthermore, it effectively relieves itching and burning, ideal in treatments for sensitive, easily reddened skin types as well as for protection from allergic reactions.
