S.C. Johnson Autan Tropical Pump Spray

I have tried all sorts of insect repellents over the years as I'm a real target for the little blighters - even in my own back garden. Whilst on a trip to Italy we stayed in a home-stay and the lovely lady who ran it provided this for guests to use when sitting in her garden. I couldn't believe how effective it was. I'd spray it on and the insects stayed well away from me - whilst my husband got bitten. As soon as we returned home I ordered some and it's proved just as effective and it smells nice and is gentle to use unlike the Deet products I've used before that practically take a layer of skin off !

Good that it is a pump rather than an aerosol and is light-weight for travel. However I had the impression it was a larger container - 100mls will not last long where I am going, so I am off to buy more at a place I can actually handle the container and have a better idea of its size

My husband is highly allergic to mosquitoes and for years now. The only repelant that works for him is Autan. He has tried lots of other products however the only thing that works for him is Autan. We are now unable to find it in our local area so have to order it on-line.When we are abroad and go out for the day he has to take it with him in case we are out longer than 6 -8 hours.

Bit late in reviewing this as holiday is many months past but was Mozzie bite free - so whether it was this, the time of year, maybe that they went off me who knows but I was bite free. Unlike other products it wasnt an unpleasant smelling product, went on easily and once on lasted longer than England at the Euros!:-)Thought it was expensive initially but then saw this on holiday and it was comparably priced.

I did a lot of research before investing in this - got three of them for a caravanning trip around west Scotland in July and August. I have to report back that nobody got majorly bitten, and even the person who is usually midge-chow only got a few bites. The active ingredient in this is the same as in Smidge, which is on sale in just about every post office and general store in Scotland, but it's cheaper per ml. And, no Deet.

update : I have almost finished the bottle in just 1 week - just 1 person using it. And I have been bitten.I don't like it (see below) but am stuck with 1 more bottle of it until I can get hold of something better (also see below).This has too much alcohol in it for me so dries too fast and is difficult to spread out and fully cover. For that reason I'm getting more bites with this than my previous repellent (also deet free with 20% saltidin, but more expensive) - I can only assume I'm missing bits. Or maybe it wears off faster. I also feel that I'm inhaling far more of this, possibly as I'm trying to spray direct rather than into my hand and spread it out - it's evaporating too fast for that.Anyway I will pay more for the better stuff in future (Pyramid sensitive - highly recommended by a mosquito magnet).

Wore this in Sri Lanka and still got bitten. Whether I'd have been eaten alive without it is unknown. Did seem to have some effect but not as effective as the leading DEET repellant. Smells ok and not too chemically and didnt irritate skin

Works very well as long as you remember to keep applying it. Mosquitos love me but this really helps keep them away. It says it lasts up to 8 hours but I top it up more frequently. I've used this in both the Caribbean and Thailand

Das Produkt haben wir einfach auf die Haut gesprüht. Ich habe es nicht einmal verrieben-geht auch!Die Wirkung ist beachtlich. Wir haben es auf unserer Asienreise verwendet. Hilft super!!Und by the way, als eine Kakalake uns auf dem Balkon nicht in Ruhe lassen wollte, haben das Mückenspray mal eingesetzt. Sie wurde danach nicht mehr gesehen!

Ladro! Aveva messo la foto di una confezione a due flaconi da 1000 ml e poi ne arriva solo uno. Vado a controllare ed ha cambiato foto e dicitura. Pagato a 9 € .
