A good flavor, slight bitterness, not fruity, or sweet
Stated using topical camellia for medicinal purposes (bruising, bleeding, wounds) with good effect. Amazon blocks external links but search with the terms "camellia" + medicinal herbs" for medicinal uses. Anyway I thought I'd try to tea after discussing with my Oriental Medical Doctor (OMD)/Acupuncturist.The company is a San Francisco based company started by two guys. The packaging states a number of qualities such as compostable materials, biodegradable, Fair-trade, Non-GMO, ethically grown. It does not say where actually the tea comes from. If you are going to put this on the shelf where it is visible, to each their own, but I think the box is fairly attractive (see pic). The tea comes in sachets (see pic) in the shape of a tetrahedron (3-D triangle, primed) and about 2" (5 cm) in width. While I didn't time it, I didn't steep the tea long, maybe 3 minutes. The ad and other info says the tea is floral with notes of Apricot. I found the taste pleasurable but can't really describe the flavor in relation to other teas. It has body, is slightly bitter, distinctive taste, so don't expect sweet, and to me not apricot or fruity, or floral. Maybe like a strong Jasmine? Not like a smokey Oolong-Sapchong (sp?).Overall pleased. Will report back after continued use for medicinal effects.[Edit]: Just re-ordered and February 25, 2020, the dating was good "Enjoy by" 12/05/21.If you found the pics and measurements useful, please hit the "helpful" button, it is motivational to generate the data for this great community.

Camilla Blossom Tea
I ordered 3 different brands, trying to duplicate camilla tea I had at a restaurant. This Was the best for iced tea. I use 3 bags to a quart measure, ant then serve it with crushed ice. I liked Twinihgs Camomike with honey and vanilla for hot tea.

but I brew mine like I do green tea
I was expecting a more floral tea, but the floral was mild. It almost had a faint apricot taste, I think. I thought the tea was mild and smooth tasting, no bitterness at all. I don't know if water temperature affects this tea, but I brew mine like I do green tea. I would purchase this tea again.

Subpar for the Brand
I have to wonder if Five Mountains is using Amazon to dump product they cannot sell in stores. I typically buy their chamomile tea from Whole Foods and love it. When I ordered from Amazon what I got was a batch of tea that looked on the verge of burnt. It did not look at all like the product normally does. What the heck?

but I do not like sugary teas
I bought this tea to stabilize my mast cell and reduce my histamines - it WORKS! It bitter in taste, but I do not like sugary teas. It's also very strong and robust in flavor.

New favorite tea!
The taste is very different than most I have tried. It is smooth and calming. High quality bag and leaves. A tad high on the price, but well worth it!
