Q: It says this has no waterproof or resistance rating, so how is this considered a marine product?

I have one on my boat for over a year it’s def marine rated and preforms well in harsh saltwater environment

Q: Will this hook up to simrad head unit?

From my quick research, I don't think so. The FLIR uses standard ethernet RJ45 connectors and cabling. Whereas the SimNet appears to have proprietary connector and cabling. I have some background in land based networking and couple friends that live on boats I could reach out to. But, you could probably find a local retailer or an avid mariner that could give you more details.

Q: What ip to anolog converters can i use? more than one option i hope.

Only a Flir A80508, I’ve tried using a Samsung and didn’t work
