Really Wild Animals: Polar Prowl (National Geographic)

Purchased for K students but there was silly stuff included in this educational DVD and they couldn't focus for that long. I was disappointed.

This is a great video to show to children to learn about animals.It is great for adults to learn about animals.With Dudley Moore narrating the whole whole polar region of the South Pole,North Pole,and More.It leads you through the Arctic with fun songs and funny jokes the whole family will enjoy.You will see great shots of polar bears and kodiak bears.Anybody who loves bears will love this video.There are also various varieties of penguins from all kinds of different places.There are also Various types of seals,walruses,whales,birds and more.It is also filled with fun facts so you and the kids can understand it.A must have for any animal lover.

Good video for kids however I had planned to use it as a homeschool supplement and it's just not detailed enough for that. Covers some vocabulary which is nice but jumps from one animal group to the next without actually talking much about them. Fun to watch just won't work for schooling.

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson and he loved looking at it over and over. It is set up so we could stop it at any point. I like the "true to life" photos, not some purple thing trying to entertain. In addition it is calm, but interesting, so when there was an unusual level of activity at the lake, he could relax and watch a little of this with grandpa and fall off to sleep.

We enjoy and learn from it.

My daughter just loves the whole series and this one is no exception Lots of fun catchy songs and the hilarious jokes with the perfect nature photography of national geographic is a must have for every child.

Was teaching unit on Arctic and Antarctic habitats. This video was a good fit for my class of middle school students with special needs. Fun, informative, beautifully photographed.

Very educational and fun great for preschoolers too. If your kid is going to be watching tv anyway might as well make sure they get something out of it.
