Perfect for what it is...
It sort of tough to wax poetic about a miniature tripod especially one that costs only $1.99 + free S&H (at the time I write this) but here it is. As is the case with most marketing photos for small items, there is no camera or other objects displayed to gauge the tripod's size... this is a tiny stand and at best only elevates your camera about 4" above the table surface (depending on how you bend the legs). That said, it still may prove helpful for a number of potential setups. Angling the camera upward to use with a timer is one I can think of. However the legs are way too short to even consider wrapping them around anything like a coat hook or tree branch. The big issue for me is the quality... not very good. Mine arrived with one of the ball feet detached and the spiral leg deformed. Apparently the manufacturer wraps each leg with some type of plasticized metal laminate to improve the appearance of the bendable legs. The tripod was delivered with the leg coating delaminated (unwound) near the bottom where the ball is normally attached. BTW, this defect released a somewhat noticeable industrial solvent odor which can't be good.Guess it's time to make use of Amazon's A-Z guarantee. The irony is after someone decides to replace or accept it's return, the money and energy spent will definitely exceed it's value and then some... guess this is price we pay for cheap Chinese goods :\As for the product, let's just say often you get what you pay for and sometimes you just get taken... "Caveat emptor." After this little exercise, my suggestion is spend the money for something more substantial and don't cheap out. This is a great example of "false savings" where you buy something super cheap and ultimately end up wasting time and/or money returning it only to have spent more time and/or money to get what you really want in the first place... lesson learned.UPDATE:After contacting Amazon regarding the matter, they have generously decided to take the hit for me even though it was purchased through a 3rd party. Amazon has graciously issued a refund without me returning it.5-Stars for Amazon, 1-Star for product quality...Thank you Amazon!

Great Little Tripod
I love this tripod, but be clear - it is a mini tripod for a mini (compact) camera. I have used it with a Canon Superzoom, but really, I knew I was stretching beyond it's capabilities when doing so. As long as you have realistic expectations going in, you'll love this tripod. Great for getting shots of yourself (or you and your significant other - to prove you're not on that vacation alone!) or for shots where you want to avoid camera shake from shutter presses.I also have a Joby GP1. It's also a great tripod. These do NOT compare. The Joby is better designed and constructed. It can take more abuse. It's also bigger and a little harder to set up. You can do more cool things with the Joby. But in the end, it's about what you do with it. I carry this tripod with me more than twice as often as I carry the Joby. It's tiny (fits in my pocket) and quick and easy to use. Can't beat it for the price. Buy extra's - people LOVE to borrow these!

Great for the price
I purchased this item so I could place it on my desk and use it to capture face-cam for my youtube videos. When it arrived, one of the legs had already fallen off, but a little super glue andb it was back to working condition. I didn't think it would be too great due to the price, but this thing is pretty great. It holds my fairly heavy camera very well, and the legs are stiff enough to not bend under the weight, yet bendable enough to be easily bent to any angle. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is from the already-broken leg upon arrival.

Truly Amazing!
These tripods are truly amazing for their utility. The price is unbelievable.I use these tripods for just about anything that it will fit. I have used it for a table top spotting scope, a DSLR camera, and two point and shoots thus far. They are very flexible and able to fit almost any situation. For example, I was trying out a high speed camera on the dash of my car and was able to just set the tripod up very wide and against a ridge on the dash and it rode for 10 miles there. AMAZING.These tripods are so small that they can fit in most camera cases except the ultra portables. I have a small case like that with a clasp attached that I just feed the tripod through, spread out the legs a bit and it stays put!So far I have bought 3 and will probably by more if I need any!

The shirt pocket hook also fits over some car window ...
The shirt pocket hook also fits over some car window edges when the window is half-down. These are handy to make your pocket camera shots more stable. You can also use it as a pistol grip in your fist with the camera on top. I keep a second one for a portable digital audio recorder, helps aim the mics where they need to go, and keeps surface vibrations from the table from getting into the audio. Shipping seemed to take forever, but it did get here and works well.

Tripod
I ordered this tripod to go with my Logitech C910 WebCam. I ordered both these at the same time and I was unaware that the WebCam did not have a mounting screw. The way the WebCam is constructed it really doesn't need a tripod. But I do have a digital camera that will work well with this little tripod. It didn't cost much and I will get some use out of it but I have not had a chance to use it at the time of this review but I do not expect any problems.

Handy for hiking
I like this small, lightweight tripod. When I hike, I set it on a large rock or tree stump, neither of which can be flat and even, so being able to move the legs of the tripod is very helpful. I only wish the tripod had a circular hook on it so that I could slip a carabiner in it to wear from my hiking pants belt loop while I hike.

Good, but be careful.
It fit my GE camera just fine and I didn't have a problem with it supporting the weight. It's surprisingly flexible, for a little thing, but beware - DO NOT tighten the screw to "snug," because the plastic will break inside the camera. I got the screw out by nudging the piece broken off inside with a lil flathead until it turned enough to where I could get hold of it. Not a big deal, and now I know. I ordered another one to replace that one and had no problems.
