A few years ago, we created a winter collection with the help of some very special people, bloggers! This fall we decided to do it again and have 12 polishes created with inspiration from some of your favorite bloggers on the KBShimmer team; this is one of those collaboration shades. Sam from Sam Nailed It posted a stunning picture of deep burgundy vampy lips as her inspiration photo for a crème polish. I knew with the glittery polish from Lisa in the same shade it was a perfect match! The cream polish is almost a plum color, with hints of maroon and aubergine, this is the perfect autumn crème! Wouldn't recommend.
The color depends on the lighting its exposed to, but in general, it looks a lot more like the beet juice black color advertised in the 6th image, and nothing like the nice deep purple color in the other images. It also started chipping within 12 hours of application as you can see in my third image. I did apply a protective top coat, but the nail polish started chipping around the areas of my nail that I missed. I can only imagine what it wouldve looked like whithout the top coat. Removing it is also a pain, since it actually stained my nails purple. So, you definitely want to apply a base coat with this nail polish. The color was the most disappointing factor, to be honest. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star, is because the color was technically advertised, and I just didn't see it.
