Is it possible to hate a blanket? Yes, it is. Let me start with the pros: this blanket is a good size for an adult and 2 small kids and it folds compactly enough. The waterproof backing does seem to work. Yay for positives! Now, the negatives and why I just can't use this anymore. The polyester fleece material sheds and I cannot stand it. I was at the park with my kids and of course we were a little sweaty and the fleece just clung to our hands, legs, feet...anything that touched the blanket got fleece. I've vacuumed the blanket, washed the blanket and it still sheds. Everytime I've taken the blanket to use, it sheds. The waterproof backing is a magnet to sand. We had the blanket over sand once the sand would not come off. We shook the blanket, hit the blanket and I had to vacuum over and over again to clean all of the sand. Folding the blanket isn't the worse thing, but the blanket is pretty stiff and that makes folding it harder. Also, the fact that you have to fold it correctly so that you can close it with the velcro is annoying. That's not an easy feat when you're chasing after two kids: and who wants to be folding a blanket so precisely when you're done at the park or wherever and just ready to go home. This is not worth it.Off to look for something else.

I'd like to say that this product is by far the best thing I bought in the past couple of weeks. It did a great job keeping me and my partner dry and warm. We used it for a trip we planned to Iceland and we're very satisfied with this blanket. Because one side was a fleece material it was able to keep us warm and the other side was a nylon type material (kind of feels like a better version of a blue tarp) which acted like a good windbreaker keeping the cold out and warm in. We used it many times to lay on a moist hillside and just stared are the stars in a 2 Celsius degree weather hoping to see the northern lights. Other times we placed it over snow and it did a great job keeping us dry. I'm a 72" tall guy, about 200lbs and my partner is a 62" woman, about 130lbs and there was enough room for one more person to accompany us when we laid on the blanket. We are super excited or the spring/summer and can't wait to use this as a picnic blanket. There is so much potential for this blanket and we are ecstatic to have one. from now on, we will be taking this to every trip we take, whether it be freezing Iceland again or Sunny Brazil, we'll be sure to carry this around. Excellent blanket for the price. It is the largest you are likely to find, and as a 6'7" tall man I appreciate that fact greatly.The only downside is that the sheet is a bit thin, having little/no padding between the waterproof and fabric sides. I would have loved a small plush insert to insulate me from the ground.

This is actually quite durable. I use it as a cat-puke-catcher for my bed. They really like to puke all over the bed when they are displeased with my performance\service as their human. We also used it to line the spray-lined-with-gritty-$&!% truck bed to move a hutch, then a refrigerator and stove and this blanket DID NOT TEAR OR EVEN MAR.I would highly recommend this blanket for picnic/stadium use. It is absolutely waterproof. One side is rubber-like and the other is soft as a blanket. Great buy!

Easy to just bring everywhere. I love it! I keep it in the back of my car everywhere I go. And when I go on a hike it’s small enough I can bring it with me so I can get to the top and eat a lunch with my boyfriend and enjoy it all before we go back down.I haven’t needed to wash it yet since I haven’t spilled any liquid on it. Anything else just stays off from the good ol shake before we fold it.Putting it on top of dewy wet grass is definitely dry on top and you can sit on it without soakin your tush.

This blanket is incredible. We use it daily (leaving it out to cover a baby floor mat), wash it regularly, and frequently pack it up for outings. It's held up to constant use and washing and folds up easily and compactly. When I don't need it for the floor mat anymore I'll leave it folded in my car. I bought this to use for picnics and never expected we'd rely so heavily on it daily. It's thin but sturdy, lays flat easily, and is perfect for a large floor space for a baby on the move. Fantastic purchase!

I love this blanket. It is large enough for a 4 or 5 person picnic and now that it is Spring I use it constantly. I am satisfied with the water resistance. It is nice being able to pack this for a hike or picnic or camping and not have to worry about also packing a tarp. We have used it to picnic in snowy areas and wet areas and haven't had an issue with water soaking through. It is also lightweight and folds up easily. I love the colors and design. I looked at a lot of blankets like this, and this color scheme was by far my favorite.
