Pilot Boy Jacket Costume Set

My 5yo picked out his Halloween costume for the first time this year. I was wary about purchasing this costume because of the poor reviews. Overall... it isn’t really that bad for the price you pay plus - the cuteness factor was through the roof! He got lots of compliments and even got a shout out from Alaska Airlines on social media! So that really makes up for the quality of the costume.I love that it came in a garment bag ha. The hat was really smooshed and i had to work it up to make it look decent. It is adjustable but was still too big for my little guy. The faux shirt (more like a sewn in bib) was horrible, with the collar constantly popping out. The pants were okay.As long as you aren’t expecting a Neiman Marcus tailored suit, this works fine.

Got this for our son who runs through the house every day taking off and landing planes with little regard for air traffic control...lolAs a gift idea, this is great. It comes with all the bits to pull off the First Officer illusion. When closed up, this outfit looks like the real deal with perfect 3 pc.double-breasted suit complete with the stripes, wings, an inner piece that looks like a white shirt and black tie and cap. The pants have an elastic waist band so fit there is not a problem.The less than five star rating is really based on the quality of the product and the sizing. It does run a tad bit small in my opinion, Each child is different, so too small or too big really does not mean much without some measurements which I have included below for your reference.Shoulder Width -14 inSleeve Length - 20.5 inPants Length - 35.5On the quality side, this simply wiil not last too long. I guess it is made for one night out trick or treating. The 'shirt' is really just a short piece covering the breast area which is fine, but the material and stitching leaves much to desire. After one day it had already parted from the the jacket due to the fact that the material/stitch is not as strong as the velcro used to close it.Overall, this has brought a lot of smiles and a sense of authority to the budding pilot who now looks a lot more professional than before in just shorts and T-Shirts. One thing to note on a lighter side...Hope your charge is not disappointed to learn that with just three stripes, he/she is not actually the captain, but the First Officer...lol

This costume fit my tall 3 year old just fine, however... 1) The hat was horrible! It came squished, is very stiff, is not comfortable. It ended up in the trash and I purchased a separate pilot hat from Amazon (which was great quality). 2) The "shirt and tie" are part of the jacket. They are one piece, which means you are no longer "in costume" if the jacket is removed or not used. I ended up buying a separate shirt and tie and cutting out the "built in" part. 3) the fabric of the white "shirt" was almost transparent and very cheap looking. All in all - this purchase was a waste of money. The only component my son used was the pants. He could have used the jacket after my fixes, but he just wasn't in the mood!

Bought size Medium for my 8 year old, fits him a tiny bit loose and long. But just right for layering a warm shirt underneath, he's not tall so I knew I'd have to hem up the pants. Arrived in a nice package with hanger, but very wrinkled and will take some ironing to straighten it out. The velcro pieces are all attached well, easy to put on and take off. It's your basic lightweight, nylon-ish costume fabric, just what I expected. The hat fits and is adjustable, but my boy doesnt think it's very comfortable due to a hard cardboard piece that hits at his forehead. Overall, it's a great costume for Halloween, my son is so happy and can't wait to wear it. He looks great, and unless you know better, it looks very much like a real suit as he's walking around. Very pleased.

This is a nice little suit held together with Velcro. The tie is velcroed in as well. The hat is rather stiff. No shirt, just suit. But all in all, it’s ok.My son is 8 and 52” tall, He’s kinda husky but not much. It fit fine, maybe a wee bit small.Thanks

Saw this cute little suit and decided it would do for my son's career day at school. The delivery time was excellent and so with high expectations I opened the package. My high hopes diminished almost immediately at a first glance of the actual packaging. It came in a neat little suit bag, however, it appeared old and dirty as if it was laying around in some old warehouse somewhere...since forever. I ordered a size 4-6 for my son and that's what the sticker on the package said. However the actual suit was huge and the sizing on it said size 8-10; of course this ruined his aspiration of being a pilot lookalike for a day.The material of the suit was very good and it was fairly well made for its price. For this reason only will I give this product a 3 star rating.

This product is TERRIBLE -- I'm of the opinion that since this costume is meant for Toddlers, Toddlers ACTUALLY sewed it together - 5 mins after putting the costume on our son the seam blew out on the pants in the left hip area, stitching was unraveling out of the box on the sleeves, and other parts were literally falling apart to the touch. If I can add photos later I will - I'm still upset at what a piece of junk this thing was. I've yet to write a negative review on anything I've bought through amazon over the years but this one takes the cake. The seller should be ashamed of themselves.

My son wanted to be an airline pilot for Halloween and this was the best costume we were able to find. He looked cute, but he thought the hat was uncomfortable, and the "shirt" lining beneath the tie left a lot to be desired. Tug a little too hard when trying to reposition the fabric and it rips away from the velcro. He took it off the second he returned from trick or treating and hasn't looked at it since. Since he typically wants to wear his costumes for months after the fact, I'm taking it as a sign.
