I don't want to repeat many of the 5 star reviews. It is quiet, the blades are painted with some solid smooth paint that you think thepy're a plastic when I think they're MDF board, and the thing is so quiet you can't even tell it's on. A few things to be aware of. This instructions are horrible, ridden with typos and aren't even right in some instance. For example, it tells you to switch the switch left and right for summer and winter, but the switch goes up and down! I bought the wall switch and it's weird that they don't have instructions to remove the pull cord that's unnecessary with the Minka wall switch. On the wall switch you'd expect off, low, med high. When in fact sliding the switch up goes off, high, medium, low for the fan, but the light does dim off, low, medium, high. The wiring diagram is also horrible. Also it would be helpful to get a parts list and explain where all the bolts, washers, lock washers go. We had extra parts. and it doesn't give you a list of the parts included. I'm going to get another one for the bedroom, but I wish they had someone literate rewrite the instructions.

Silent and efficient. We decided to go with a Minka Aire over nearly identical fans in other popular brands. We actually replaced and Hampton bay fan that looked identical but was loud, and had warped blades. There is no light kit, and it's the smallest fan available for a 7ft ceiling. We placed it in our sunroom with a slightly slanted ceiling and it is still silent after running 24-7 for over a month

Instructions not very good, kind of cheaply made (one of the mounting screws snapped when tightening), no room up top to tuck wires after making connections. My biggest complaint though is how loud this thing is!!! I turned it on and the motor is so loud. Had I bought this locally at a Home Depot or something I would just return it. However I really don’t feel like taking it down, boxing it up and sending it back so will have to deal with this B52 bomber sounding ceiling fan.

Overall, decent fan for something inexpensive. I gave it only 3 stars because I can either put it on low or high or else there is a loud clicking noise. My father checked the install over and over making adjustments but still there is the noise. It has great air flow, though, and keeps the room very cool. I placed mine in the bedroom so I didn't really need something expensive and having it on high works for me in the summer. As for appearance, its a nice looking fan.

Bought 4 of these fans due to the price and good reviews. Mounted them in the bedrooms. 3 of the fans makes a humming noise and occasional slight tapping on the lowest setting from day one. Only 1 of the fans seem to work quiet without any issues. Had I known of these issues I would've spent a little more for a hunter fan.

We've had five Minka-Aire ceiling fans in our home for just under 20 years. This most recent purchase was to replace one that finally failed. The room has a low ceiling so we needed a flush mount replacement without an attached light fixture. Obviously we've been very pleased with the reliability, performance, and durability of Minka-Aire that we chose to buy one again.

Easy installation and well packaged parts. There's even text on the bags with the screws, etc., that tells you what goes where.On the lower settings is move the air gently, on the highest setting it blows quite a bit. Quiet operation. Seems like a quality fan; nice finish.

No particular problem with it, but the air output is less than the Hamilton Bay fan I replaced. The quality seems fine.

not quite as easy to install as previously reported but great fan for the money. We add the Minka Aire WC 105WH 4 speed controllers and this was a great addition for wall control of the fan.

Though it's a little old fashioned looking, it is sturdy, was easy to install, and definitely does the job. No frills, but that also means there is a lot less to go wrong. Highly recommend.
