Well designed with the easy grip knurling so that you can tighten or remove with fingers. No pliers needed. They come with a soft rubber washer inside, similar to a garden hose washer. I don't have a way to do any scientific testing, but they look and feel like they would prevent propane from escaping out of the tank valve. If a tank leaks I would suspect it would be from the pressure relief valve and not from the main valve covered with one of these brass caps.

I feel much safer with a screw on cap on the butane cylinder than those push on caps which have a tendency of falling off when traveling.

A simple product that works well as intended. The difference lies in the good workmanship. The brass material is solid, well machined with good smooth finish and has a good thick rubber gasket insert that shouldn't bottom out and should maintain a good seal. Threads on smoothly and easy to hand tighten and loosen.

Fit like a glove. Looks good too.

The propane cylinders I purchased were sealed with plastic caps which allowed the threads to begin to oxidize.I bought the copper caps, which tightened securely, thus ending the moisture -oxidization issue. PV
