Red Game Console
So. My first initial reaction was "wow. this is crap it's so tiny my 6 year old isn't going to be able to hold on to this" BUT!! once I put batteries in it, it gave it some weight and it was easier to handle (if that makes sense). I then turned it on and was stocked out how many games there was and the quality. My husband saw this and now he wants it. So it's perfect for the 90s kid who grew up on sonic the hedgehog, original Mario, donkey kong, etc. I recommend this 100%!!!!!

kills time
The game console contains a lot of old games I used to play when I was a kid. It is easy to use, addictive and kills time when you are on the train or waiting for one. It is compact in size so you can slip it into your pocket or purse without adding much weight.I do think it needs some improvement: 1. The sound is kind of loud. There's no volume control but you can mute it. 2. It didn't memorize your last played game. So every time you restart the console, you have to browse the list to find the one you are interested in.

Some great retro games. A lot of duplicates though
To me, it is still amazing that in one handheld device, it contains more games than I had as a kid with my game console and the bricks that were individual games. Anyway, this device has some great games that brings back memories of hanging out at the arcade (donkey kong, kung fu, berzerk, dig dug, super olympics) and some 'newer' retro games (street fighter, super contra, etc.). However, may of the games are breakouts of the original game (for example, you have super olympics, but then hurdles, javelin, triple jump as separate games). Some of the games are also slight revisions to other classic games. I do like the rechargeable batteries (comes with a mini USB cord), and the sound is loud so I put a couple of pieces of tape over the speaker. I do with it had PacMan (or some version of it), but still for under $20, I would say it was worth it.

Nifty, an arcade in your pocket
I have enjoyed learning how to play the old classics again...Mario Brothers, Pac Man, Tetris 2 and quite a few I've never heard of. This item shipped fast thanks to Amazon. I was worried this console wouldn't last or function based on other product reviews of similar items. But this is an excellent product and my only problem is sudden hand cramps from trying to get to the next level of Tetris...Pac Man...Mario Brothers...you get the idea. I saw a similar item at the local mall for...$65 and up. This $18 item is better than blowing money at a retro arcade. I have no complaints with the seller and appreciate their warranty and good customer service.

Awesome product
Great old school toy for my 3rd grade. Many of the kids in her elementary school bring iPhones & iPads to school. My child has been begging for something similar to play around with before school & during her wait to be picked up. I am not comfortable with my 8yr old havib a phone or taking any pricey devices to school. This was a nice happy medium to hopefully shut her up for awhile! She’s so excited to have some fun games to play but most importantly I think she’s happy to have a “cool device” like many of her peers. Very glad to have found this inexpensive “happy medium”.

Bad display, sound won't stay off
I got the 318-game version.Like most of these things, this one has a display which was made to be viewed in portrait orientation, and when used as a wide screen the viewing range is too narrow and gives the weird hollow appearance which results from your left and right eyes getting different levels of brightness (turn it sideways and the display takes on a nice solid appearance of a good computer monitor). What makes this worse than average is that the narrow viewing angle isn't even straight ahead. I have to view it about 15 degrees from the right to make it look just OK.But the absolute worst thing about this device, to definite deal breaker, is that the sound comes on not just every time you power it on, but also every time you exit a game (by pressing the reset button to return to the main menu). The volume is controlled by a single button, not a physical knob like a similar game I recently acquired, and there's no headphone jack either. This makes it utterly unsuitable for use in public, unless you don't mind being the d who is always annoying everyone with his game. I am going to try to open it up and cut the speaker wire.

This will delight you or your giftee well beyond the price
For the price, this thing is a bargain... A screen, a controller, a rechargeable battery (but it will take AAAs too), and 300+ retro games for under twenty dollars. It's an amazing deal. Many of the games are solid emulations and many of your favorites from MAME, NES etc. will be there. The only reason I docked it star is that without some sort of session memory that lets you save your game state or remember which game you played last... it makes this a little difficult to be more than a novelty toy. But seriously, for the price the novelty and portable nostalgia... it's worth it.

These are great.
They are small enough to keep a couple in your bag to hand over to your kids when you are out and not worry about bigger games with cases and games you could lose. And you won’t mind getting stuck holding them yourself. You can turn off the sound.Lots of games so they stay pretty entertained for a while.
