As far as I know, Halvah is a mid-eastern delicious candy. Greece, Israel, Turkey perhaps all have been known to make it, enjoy it, sell it, and savor it. I personally love Halvah, but my wife restricts my intake for health reasons. It isn't a low fat delicacy.

Since Halvah can be made a million different ways, it's pointless to speculate. Some has NO honey but only sugar, some has NO sugar, only honey, some both. Some has neither, but made with corn syrup(!). Most is made with sesame, but some with sunflower. This would be like Amazon selling stuff labeled "chocolate" with no other description! Customers state the Joyva Halvah has corn syrup (which I sure don't want), and the other options on here do not give ingredients. So what am I buying?

Joyva contains partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and artificial flavors. I would never buy it.
