not mechanical feeling at all and the backlight is useless
The battery level display is simple and bright but I don't like how the volume knob is stiff or that the backlight is useless because I can't see the keys. The keys don't feel mechanical at all (not "mechanical feeling") and I type worse on this keyboard. I like there's a place under the keyboard to store the USB receiver. I only used it for Bluetooth and it seems to connect fine.

Quiet, Stylish, and Functional
This keyboard is a dream to use! The keys are soft and quiet, so I can type away without disturbing anyone around me. The colors are vibrant, and the customizable LED backlighting adds a nice touch to the overall look. I also appreciate how you can adjust the brightness to suit your preferences.Charging is quick via USB-C, and setup is a breeze – it connects effortlessly to Windows with the 2.4G dongle, and you can also pair it with a Mac, iPad, or even your phone via Bluetooth. The addition of the volume wheel is a fantastic bonus, giving it extra practicality.Overall, a great combination of design, functionality, and ease of use – highly recommended!

Great portable keyboard
I love the freedom of being able to use my keyboard anywhere in my house without being tethered to my desk. The customizable lights are so cool, and I can change them to match my mood or the game I'm playing. The keys feel great to type on, and the knob control is a handy little feature that lets me adjust the volume or brightness easily. Plus, the battery life is amazing, so I can use it for hours without having to worry about recharging it. Overall its cute and has given my desk space a little color.

NOT a mechanical KEYBOARD
This is a membrane keyboard that I was cat-fished into purchasing solely off of the title. I only read the title half way and did not see the part that read "mechanical feeling." With that being said, it's one of my teenage son's favorite keyboards. I prefer a true mechanical feel to my keyboards. This keyboard feels like you are typing on a membrane keyboard because, it is a membrane keyboard. Nothing about it feels mechanical. It fools you into thinking it's mechanical by it's appearance. Not having switches under the keycaps limits my typing skills. Fast typers will not like this, it types slow. Especially if you type 50 words per minute or more like myself.Overall, an ok board for newbies. If having a true mechanical feeling is important to you, I recommend you skip this one.

Feels like a membrane keyboard. Usb wireless connection misses keystrokes
I was interested in trying a more compact keyboard in the 94-96% range, so I picked up the LexonElec M96 (labeled as FreeWolf M96 on the bottom). The keyboard is advertised as having a "mechanical feeling," but it doesn't quite succeed in replicating the feel of my other mechanical keyboards, which typically use tactile switches. This is a membrane keyboard that only looks like a mechanical keyboard. The LexonElec M96 keyboard has a USB-C port, but it's only used to charge the battery via the included USB-A to USB-C cable. It doesn't pass key presses when connected via a wired setup. There is a mechanical on-off slider switch and another slider switch to select between the 2.4G dongle, one Bluetooth connection, and a second Bluetooth connection. The keyboard lights are fixed colors for each position, with only the ability to turn them on/off, adjust the brightness, and change the lighting effects. If you prefer a single color or want to customize lighting modes, this keyboard won't meet your needs as it only offers one rainbow pattern. The keycap printing is not very legible, particularly the symbols. The light-colored letters are fine on the dark coffee-colored keycaps, but the ivory/brown keycaps have low contrast, and the font size is quite small for some symbols. This isn't a big issue for touch typing, but I find myself hunting for functions in the "FN +" layer.Initially, I tested the keyboard using the provided 2.4G USB-A dongle. It missed key presses frequently enough to make typing a sentence very frustrating. I wondered if the keyboard was defective and tried the dongle on several different USB ports. In a test where I rapidly pressed a key a set number of times and then shifted to another key, I found it missed one press out of about 30 on average.Switching to Bluetooth mode and pairing the LexonElec M96 keyboard with the same laptop yielded much better results. I didn't experience any dropped presses, and the same "rapid press" test captured every press I made. However, the keyboard goes to sleep after several minutes and can take over 10 seconds to reconnect, which might be adjustable in my Bluetooth settings.Overall, the keycap printing on the light-colored keys is difficult to read, and the symbols aren't very legible. Bluetooth was the only connectivity mode that provided acceptable responsiveness, and the keyboard feels like a membrane keyboard. There are many compromises with this LexonElec M96 keyboard.
